When I was young, I thought every time there was a thunder storm, there was automatically a tornado. I used to grab all of my favorite stuffed animals and my pillow and go sleep in the basement every time it rained, and I would get upset with my parents for not letting me bring my dog in the basement. When I would wake up, I was astonished to see the roof still on the house. After this happened about 10 times, I finally realized there wasn't always going to be a tornado.

when i was a kid there was a island in my creek that only appeared when the water was down, but me and my friends thought it would ust rise from the depths every year. lol.

I used to believe that tomatoes came from trees. I discovered that this was false quite late :S

We had a tree near our house when I was little, and I was scared of it. I called it the Sorry Tree. I even had a dream that it smashed up our house once.

I used to believe that the moon followed me and my family everywhere we go. You can imagine my surprise when I told that to a friend and she said that it followed her too. how can the moon follow me and her at the same time if we're not together?

When i was a kid I use to believe that Power stations with huge chimneys (liek the one Homer simpson works at) where made to make clouds and thats where all the clouds came from

When I was little, I used to think that during an earthquake, the reason the bed would shake was because my sister was messing with me. I would yell to my parents to come and get my sister out from under my bed.

When I was under fifteen I used to believe that people were hit by lightning because they did some bad things in their past live, so the sky came down to punish them..

In the 70's there was lots of talk about the ice age on TV. Of course I assumed it was going to happen in my lifetime and was worried about it. I imagined we would all have to live in massive submarines in the water under the ice. I figured each submarine would be it's own country.

Wind came from children who were being punished - they were forced to stand in a barn and an old man made them all blow in the same direction to make wind.

While watching a thunderstorm with my 4 yr old son, we spotted some lighting in the clouds..after some time of watching this spot light up he said "That car up there in the clouds is turning its lights on." LOL! I'm sure you can imagine how absolutly adorable that sounded....

When I was little, whenever I would see a tornado siren, I thought they were after me and try to eat me. Sometimes when I was in bed about to go to sleep, I thought that they would sometimes come to my window and start talking to me and sometimes I would talk back and we would have conversations.
