I used to believe that Global Warming (aka greenhouse gases) were actually caused by greenhouses. I saw a greenhouse in a movie and I shouted Greenhouse Gasses! I got strange looks from people in the audience.

When I was a kid I believed that the man on the moon got there by being a construction worker. He was laying the last brick on a high rise building and a crescent moon came along and hooked him. He stayed up there because he was too scared to tell his boss he dropped the last brick.
Somewhere out there is an unfinished high rise!

I use to believe that when it storm that God was doing his work. And when the sun came out while it was raining , that the devil was beating his wife.

when my cousin first learned the water cycle he told me about evaporation, and told me that was when the water on the ground suddenly flew up into the air and that i was too small so i would be sucked up with it, and he told me that if this happened he would have to tackle me and hold me down..so i went on for years fearing that one day it would rain up instead of down and some random guy would tackle me and hold me down so i didn't fly into the clouds

I used to believe that the top of the clouds looked exactly the way it did on the Care Bears Cartoon and if you looked at the clouds you could see a care bear peeking over the sides

I used to believe that every time that it was raining, God was peeing and every time it hailed, God was pooping little balls of ice on us.

I thought that power stations made clouds, that was their only job and that's the only reason we had clouds.

We grew up around lots of canyons, and one in particular has small, shallow holes in the sides. When the family would drive through on a random Sunday drive, my father would tell us the holes were caused by "rock worms". He'd actually pull over so we could roll the window down and listen to them munching the rock - I couldn't ever hear anything, but I'd play along anyway. I didn't figure out they were actually caused by wind erosion until I was about 12.

I know the world is round but used to believe there had to be an end to it somewhere... where was this - and was there a fence there keeping everyone in? I used to think that if you found this fence and climbed over it you would just fall off the end of the world and float in space forever.

I used to think that lightening was like a flashbulb, so you better not be doing anything bad or else the angels or God would see. So smile, just in case it's a picture. Also, if a flash from the reflection fo the sun on a car's windshield or other object would do the same. I did a lot of "freeze and smile" because I wanted to be remembered to be a good little girl who smiled a lot.
