I used to believe that when the sky was pink, the weather men were up in the sky checking what the weather was going to be the next day.

I used to think that when you went over a bridge there were two different rivers and the bridge separated them.

I used to believe, as a very young girl, that clouds were made out of mashed potatoes, because they reminded me so much of my mom's mashed potatoes that were big and fluffy.

When I was about 2 years old, we lived in a different house. When we passed up a group of pine trees surrounding the road on the way to the elementary school, I thought the trees were dinosaurs. Because of that, I screamed "THE DINOSAURS ARE COMING!!!!!!!!!! THE DINOSAURS ARE COMING!!!!!!!!!!"

When I lived in San Francisco as a child, I asked my aunt why the fog horns blew every night and she told me they used them to blow the fog off the Golden Gate Bridge! I was able to go to sleep comforted by that thought.

I used to believe (thanks to my mum!) that when it began to thunder, it meant that the angels in heaven were dragging around their furniture. I would always have a mental image of a bunch of angel pushing around a dining table because they wanted to rearrange their dining room!

There used to be a sign on the gat of a house we used to pass each day..it said:beware of the Agapanthus, for many years i imagined a very large man eating thing in that garden..I now have the same sign in my garden

I used to think that the trees made the wind. Whenever we were outside on a really windy day i would get so angry and frustrated and scream at the trees to stop it!!!!

I used to believe that the wind was made by trees swaying instead of the other way around.

one night, a few years ago, my mom and I were sitting outside and enjoying the starry night. My sister, who was about four or five at that time, came out to join us. All of a sudden, she gave a horrified scream and ran indoors. My mom went after her, puzzled as to what had suddenly startled her. My sister explained that when she looked up, all the astronauts in the sky were shining their torchlights at her! She was talking about the stars!

I used to believe thunder was God bowling. Every Wednesday was my parents' bowling day, and it often stormed. I told my Mom, "Hey, mommy, I think God has the same bowling day as us!"

I used to believe…

like many people, i used to believe that trees swaying was the cause of wind. so, naturally, i was very confused when i saw the prince of egypt in the desert seen where it is very windy. How could there be wind when there were no trees around? i took the question to my dad, who looked confused for a moment, laughed, then explained.

When i was about 4 to 5, i used to believe that when there was a thunder storm that dinosours would come outside, so i hid under a table and started crying until it was over.

When I was around 8 I used to think about the enormity of the universe and have panic attacks, and sometimes nightmares (blind terror) when I thought about what we humans really are, and how we came into being. I wondered; was our universe just a crumb on the table of a giant. I was always being told off by my Dad for "having my head in the clouds", and forgetting things.

I still think my father had children because they're easily fooled. He'd tell us (and now tells his grandkids) that if you pick up a rock fast enough you can see it's roots.

I was convinced for years that if I didn't brush my teeth, the trees would laugh at me. When their leaves rustled I thought they were whispering to each other, passing on the word that I had sufficiently passed their daily oral hygeine exam.
