When I was in kindergarten, I'd walk home from my bus stop every day BUT stop at a large rock and talk to it, telling it all about my day and my deepest, most secret feelings. I did this the whole year and thought it was my best friend.

I used 2 believe dat when it was raining, God would be up there peeing..So whenever there was a heavy rain,in the past,i would be thinkin "God sure has 1 huge bladder.."

after i learned that the globe was spherical, i was very confused. I thought that the moment iget to the poles (north/south) i would definately fall, and i wondered how ocean waters never fall in space.

I used to think that stars are made by God for children to stop crying, to enjoy and they are our toys to make us happy and they do not twinkle but wave to us.

My mom told me one time during a tornado warning that if it was raining, that there could not be a tornado.
I had a plan.
I would go outside if I saw the tornado, and grab the hose. Then, I would spray the tornado down and make it go away. I would save the whole neighborhood!!

When I was about 5 or so, I used to believe that when it was raining it was God who would be bathing and the water would be running down the drains which was the clouds. Even up to now I can't figure out where I got that idea.

One time at camp I was told to go get bark from a tree for a project. I picked up a paper plate, went over to the tree and asked nicely for some bark while holding out the plate, as if the tree would voluntarily drop some bark, whatever bark was. Then another student came up and peeled bark off the tree for me. I was nauseated.

In my town we have a paper mill. The mill has smoke stacks to let of steam. Of course, this steam is fluffy and white so naturally I believed that this paper mill was the source of all clouds in the world.

When I was a little girl I used to believe that Islands floated and were attached to the bottom of the ocean with a bath chain and plug

When i was a little kid, i lived in Germany, and i always thought the moon as the other side of the Earth. Everyone would always talk about the US, and that's where i thought it was. Plus we learned about landing on the moon in school, and i really had no clear understanding of flying. Pretty stupid when i look back on it.

In agreement with an earlier post, I also thought that trees created the wind, and I used to beleive that it would never be windy where there were no trees around. I was soon to find out that I was wrong though!

I used to think that weather presenters actually made the weather. This was the case in the days when they used a map with stick-on icons instead of computer graphics, and I used to be annoyed at them when they put rain clouds on the map!

I used to believe that the world was God's snow globe, and that that we all lived in this snow globe...when I would look up at the sky I saw that it was round, so I knew it had to be a snow globe..So I never wanted to do anything bad because I knew that he was watching

I used to believe that inside each volcano there was a guy who'd press a button to make it erupt.

I used to believe that trees were not alive, so sometimes my brother and I would go outside with his little plastic tool set and chip bark off of the ones in our front yard. We always got tired of playing construction workers with the toy wood block that never even changed when we hammered it, so we liked to pretend that we were doing "important work" on the trees.

When I learned in school that trees were actually alive, I felt so bad about hurting ours! I figured it must have been like were were chipping off their skin and they probably hated us now. When I got home, I hugged our trees and apologized to them. Needless to say, we never "worked" on the trees again.
