I used to believe that when there was an earthquake, rocks would fall from the sky.

once, when me and my twin sister were little, there were really strong winds, so we asked my dad if the roof was going to blow off. he said it might, and since me and hers room is on the top floor, we were really scared. that night we collected all our teddies and blankys into our pillow cases and sat for hours waiting to the roof to blow off. we loved our teddies so much, we had to save them lol. after a while, we went to sleep, hugging our pillow cases stuffed with teddies. our roof didnt blow off in the end!!

I used to beleive when I was younger that the reason the water did'nt fall out of the oceans when the earth "turned" was because all of the oceans were covered in seran wrap, but it was a sepical kind that only you could see from space, so thats why you could still go swimming.

I used to tell my little sister (when she was about 3) that she would get sucked down the drain of the bath tub. She would stay at the far end of the tub and cry the whole time. My mother always wondered why Chloe was afraid of the bath tub and the deep end of the pool. I thought this was sooo funny. I just told mom the reason for her fear recently and Chloe is now 15, luckily she found out on her own that she was perfectly safe near a drain.

I remember being four or younger when I first came up with this.

It worried me that the universe was infinite - or rather, because 'infinite' was perhaps not in my vocabulary, it worried me that space should be black forever. Surely it couldn't just go on being black. Everything had an end, surely... although obviously the universe didn't stop, because what would be outside it? This was my solution. After space had stretched on for a long time and way, it stopped being black, and there was a kind of barrier. After that, it was white. Then it was probably brown. And then yellow. I don't remember the exact order after that, but I suppose I assumed that you could go on inventing colours infintely, or perhaps repeat a sequence of them infinitely, and that that would resolve the problem.

I used to believe that if you looked directly at a lightning bolt you'd go blind. Not really sure why I thought that, but even now when I see a lightning bolt in the sky I automatically look away.

I used to believe…

for some strange reason, i thought sequoya was pronounced "squeak-edy-dockedy-an". dont ask me why. i was a strange child.

Until I was in 3rd grade, I used to always make sure that I slept with my back facing the window during tornado season, even though tornades were fairly uncommon in my area, they still happened, so I wanted to be sure that a tornado didn't happen while I was sleeping and facing the window, because glass pieces would fly into my eyes and blind me!

Of corse, I think if there were a tornado while I was sleeping, I'd know, and my window and where I slept on my bed where about 8 feet apart...

My mom told me that rain would help me grow... at a small 5'3" the reality set in quickly.

When I was very young, I thought snow came out of street lights. Which, in theory makes sense; I couldn't see it until it fell below the light. I didn't know why they "snow lights" only worked for part of the year, though...

I truly believed that trees created wind by moving their branches; after all, branches always move when there is wind!

When I was little I thought that clouds was made of cotton, and if I ever had the chance, I would fly up there and sit on them=)

When we were about 6, my best friend and I used to think that whenever we saw a rainbow, we could make different colors appear in it by throwing different colored trash in the gutter at the end of the road. It really seemed to work...

I used to believe that if there was an earthquake and if you were in a church, the earthquake wouldnt do anything to the church

I was always interested in science. Somewhere I saw a textbook with a drawing of a cannon shooting a cannonball into orbit around the earth, to explain escape velocity. I was convinced that the moon had been shot out of a cannon to orbit the earth thereafter.

I used to stare out of the window of my apartment when I was a kid, looking at the clouds as they moved across the sky. I used to believe that they were all going to visit the Blue Fairy and I wished that I could join them as well.

A few years ago when I was in Grade 4, I used to believe that the sun would come up from a little pond in America and when it was time to rise, it would return to that little pond. Pretty dumb, hey?!
