When I was young I had a plan to shoot big piles of paper up to the sun so it would never burn out.
I thought all the stars in the sky were the angels watching over us.
I used to think that the northern star that led the wise men to baby Jesus was still around and came out in December around Christmas time. I kept asking my aunt once if it still was out there, and pointed to a particularly bright star asking if it was that star.
I used to belive that the northern lights were angles dancing across the sky and that if you laid on your back in a open feild and whistled up at them they would come down and pick you up. To this day i still belive that.
I use to believe that my dad put the star in the sky at night for me to look at.
i used to belive that there was a fighting between moon and sun.
I used to think stars were really shaped like you draw stars!
I used to believe that we lived inside the earth (a bit like a snowglobe), and that the ozone layer was the earth's crust. I remember being told about the problem with holes in the ozone layer, which I assumed were caused by rockets going into space and having to smash through it.
i used to believe that there was a planet with identical people from earth on it. for example: there was an exact replica of me, my parents, friends, everyone. and they were doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. i dont know why.
i used to belive for about half my life that there were three globes the way everyone used to say the third world
When I was little I thought that the moon was put up in the sky by two guys on a ladder, and that's why it was always a different shape, they put up whatever shape they wanted and they left it there for a while before changing it again.
When I was in kindergarden I was sure that our astronauts had travelled to Mars and the other planets. I remember thinking that the red sand I saw in a decorative glass jar must have been brought back by the astronauts on one of their missions to Mars.
when i was a child, i used to believe the moon was made of ,milk.
i used to believe that the moon really WAS made out of cheese. i really did.
when i was younger i used to believe that the world was in the centre of the universe and that if you went to university you went into space and looked down to study the earth! lmao
i used to think that the earth would be sucked into a black hole and all the planets and sun would come to and it would be a whole new universe
also i used to be really scared that an asteroid would hit my house and only my house
As a kid it was always my dream to go on a space ship (which I pictured like an airplane) and ask the piolit to stop right as we were entering earth so when I looked out my window half would be outer space and half would be earth, as if there was a distinct line seperating the two. I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
When I learned that the universe never ended, I couldn't grasp the concept because I had been taught nothing lasts forever. So for years I imagine the universe suddenly ending by a big wall and then there was nothing but white on the other side.
I used to believe that the sky was a blue 'roof' on top of the world and that all you had to do was fly high enough and you could touch it.
I didn't think too hard about what happened at night, tho.
When i was a little girl i used to believe that God lives on the moon. if i got upset about something i go outside so we could look at each other and tell him about it... and i admit i still have that connection with the moon to this day. it does make me feel better looking at it.
