when i was younger i used to believe that the world was in the centre of the universe and that if you went to university you went into space and looked down to study the earth! lmao
i used to think that the earth would be sucked into a black hole and all the planets and sun would come to and it would be a whole new universe
also i used to be really scared that an asteroid would hit my house and only my house
As a kid it was always my dream to go on a space ship (which I pictured like an airplane) and ask the piolit to stop right as we were entering earth so when I looked out my window half would be outer space and half would be earth, as if there was a distinct line seperating the two. I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
When I learned that the universe never ended, I couldn't grasp the concept because I had been taught nothing lasts forever. So for years I imagine the universe suddenly ending by a big wall and then there was nothing but white on the other side.
I used to believe that the sky was a blue 'roof' on top of the world and that all you had to do was fly high enough and you could touch it.
I didn't think too hard about what happened at night, tho.
When i was a little girl i used to believe that God lives on the moon. if i got upset about something i go outside so we could look at each other and tell him about it... and i admit i still have that connection with the moon to this day. it does make me feel better looking at it.
I knew a girl who thought the moon was just the sun at night. It burned during the day and went out at night.
In Thailand, I used to (probably still do) believe that if you point your finger at the Moon, it will come down at midnight and cut the bottom part of your ear.
Funny how I remember I also got cut once. Huh?
I thought the full moon looked like a cookie, so I always called it the cookie moon.
I used to believe that the moon was relly made of cheese...
There are another world opposite the clouds and there may be creatures like human beings live.
I used to believe pluto was a planet.
i used to belive that i could land on the sun and not get burned at all lol
my friend had a teacher who was convinced that the world really was flat, and for a while he had her convinced too! until she figured out that, logically, that can't really be true what with the orbits around the sun, and such
I believed the sun and the moon were the same thing, just rotated to change from day to night.
I used to believe that the stars sang. When they came out in the evening, the chirping would begin; first one star, then two, then a whole host of them, chirping to different rythms, then for one breathtaking moment, singing in unison. The songs used to have words in my head, little repeated phrases like "flower pretty" or "Standard Oil." (I remember being amazed that the stars knew my Daddy was a pilot for Standard Oil. How did they know that?)
I was living in California. Later I found out the sounds I was hearing were made by crickets that came out to chirp as the sun set. I still cherish the sound of crickets today.
that there really was a man on the moon at all times
I used to believe that the moon was the place where I was living and this planet was a reflection to it.
I used to believe that the moon landing was a fake...all because my mom had made a joke that I thought was real
i used to think we were inside the earth then i thought how do rockets lift off and we cant be on the other side or we will float away then my mom told me the we are on the outside
