when i was little, my dad told me that the moon is chasing me..quite cool~
When I was little, my dad used to say that sometime we'd "sleep under the stars." I had this picture in my head of literally sleeping right up underneath a star, possibly in some kind of hammock-like-thing. In my head, the stars would be huge, bright and shiny, but perfectly cool. One day I asked my dad when we'd sleep under the stars, and he said something like, "We did, remember?" He was referring to a recent night when we'd all camped out in tents in the yard. I was a little disappointed, but I got over it.

I used to believe that the earths rotation meant that we were rolling closer to the sun and someday we will be squished by the sun because we got too close.
I used to believe that if I threw hard enough, I could get a penny to land on the moon, after watching something about some fake story on a wedding ring being found on the moon. So I'd throw money up to the sky. The coins i couldn't find anymore I assumed made it.
I believed that my family and I lived on Earth, and the rest of the people lived in other planets, like Pluto and Mars and Saturn.

When I was a kid, I thought the stars made the chirping noise the crickets make at night, The twinkling seemed to blend with the chirping, so I naturally thougth the stars made the noise.
Until I was about 5 or 6 I used to believe that the area of the moon that you can't see when it's not full just wasn't there. I learned it from Bugs Bunny cartoons.
i used to think the sun followed me every where
Every night, to explain the darkness, I thought someone put the world in a box.
All the stars were air holes.
I specifically remember looking out at the sky on our porch one night...it was cloudy, but the clouds blended in with the sky, and so I figured it was just a starless sky.
So I turn to my grandmother, and tell her "The stars ran out of batteries!"
Later on I found out that stars did not run on batteries at all, but it was fun to think while it lasted.
One day a friend and I were playing in my backyard when we found a tomato worm. For those of you that have never seen one of these it looks like a large, green and thorny caterpiller. But We thought it was a baby alien and squished it with a stick before it could take over our brains
