During my childhood, I used to believe that trees were intelligent and could feel the pain.
I believed it because one day when I climbed in a tree the branche where I was hanging was broken.
Since this accident I believe that I need to ask to the trees if i can climb on them.
top belief!
I used to believe that hydrangeas were so called because rangers hide in them.
I used to think there was a kind of vegetable called a “Lunt”, because of the villain Mr. Lunt from VeggieTales, which I could not tell what vegetable he was, so I assumed he was one called a “lunt”. I also thought pickles were not the same as cucumbers, so there’s that too. I also got confused over what sort of vegetable a “snoodle” was when I saw the DVD cover in a store, as the “snoodle” was not presented as a monster like the fib.
I used to think that you could bring dead flowers back to life if you watered them.
I used to belive that the wind blew the trees. Ever since the 2020 derecho I've been seeing things a little differently the trees move more and faster before the wind even picks up I don't believe it matters if trees are near by. I think the wind is the trees communing with everything of course it would be more wind as the message has further to go to be passed on
When I was a child I used to believe that when you blew a dandelion you could make a wish and that wish would be real
I used to believe that the plants in the park that looked like little tomatoes really were.
When I heard that the flowers in my parents' vase were "asleep" (i.e. closed up for the night), I took it literally and thought I could "wake them up" by yelling.
I used to think watering dead flowers would bring them back to life.
When I was younger, I used to believe I approached a tree with a hole, it ate me.
I used to get ivy confused with ivory.
I used to believe that leaves the color green that had 4 on it growing out of the ground were poisonous, and red leaves that were growing on a tree or out of the ground that had 4 leaves on them were poisonous.
I thought that if you held a buttercup to your face and it only reflected on your chin softly, it meant you only liked butter a little bit.
I used to believe the stick insect was a real stick and when the night was coming the million stick insect gathered to create the tree. If 50% insect stick died the tree would die too. That's why to me, the Amazonia forets died because the stick insect died too!
I used to falsely believe that planting a fruit pip in the garden would actually grow a tree or bush.
I thought "catkin" meant "little cat".
I thought that grass seed had magical powers and would sprinkle it on things to make things happen. When it didn't, I got confused.
I thought if you sneezed on poison ivy then you will get a rash all over your body
When i was child, i used to believe that large rocks were the parents of small rock.
top belief!
I used to be scared to climb trees because my parents told me that trees eat people that climb up in them, my parents only told me that so I wouldn't do crazy things and get hurt, but i got scared of trees for a long time!
