I lived in Hong Kong my whole life and never went to anywhere cold until my family moved to Chicago in the United States. I had watched many American movies though, and that was my only exposure to snow.

As a little girl, I thought that all of the clouds were make of sweet icing sugar as found on top of cakes that you could eat. According to my fairytale world as a young child, Cirrus clouds were made of icing in its powder form and cumulus and stratus clouds were made of giant lumps of icing in its watery form. I was bitterly disappointed when I found out that clouds were made of nothing but trillions of tiny, tasteless water droplets.

I used to believe that the weather had to do with GOD's mood. So if it was raining, GOD was mad. If it was sunny, GOD was happy. If it was stormy, HE was angry.
When I was a little girl I actually believed that if I walked under the rainbow,to the other side, I would turn in to a boy! :-)

When I was little I used to believe that rain was invisible and that only certain people could see it. I thought I was so special and was upset when I told my mum I could see rain but didn't get much of a reaction lol
i thought clouds was candy floss and you can eat them
When I was really small, I saw hail in summer and was convinced it was snowing.
Also, I saw the moon in the morning once and for some reason became convinced it was trying to steal my breakfast!!
I used to believe that when there was thunder it was because God was moving furniture around his house and it was raining because God was moping and he dumped his dirty water outside of His house.

My neighborhood kids and I used to believe that to stop rain, all you had to do was put to knives crossed under a table and it wouldn't rain.

I used to believe that when it rained, it was because someone who lived beyond earth was straining pasta they had just cooked. And the clouds which bore the rain was the steam from the cooking of the pasta.
I used to believe that snowflakes were realy big because that the way they were in cartoons but then i moved to place where it snowed and i was wondering what was coming out of the sky and they told me it was snow i was confused lol but then i leared that i was wrong in the first place
i used to think tha if you went outside when it was acid raining the rain would burn holes in your skin
When he was little, my dad thought that clouds were patches of leftover smoke from cannons being shot in the Civil War.
