When I was 11 I used to think that if you put an orange in the fridge and then went to bed with your shirt backwards it would snow. I've tried it never works.
When the oil stains on the roads are washed away by the rain, they look all very colourful, rainbow like. I used to believe, back in 1969, that they were the product of the rain washing the moon...
I used to believe that clouds represented recently deceased animals. If I looked at the sky and saw clouds that looked like for example a rabbit, I'd be 100% sure that a rabbit had just died. I also thought that the white clouds were happy and died a normal death, while a darker cloud was angry and had maybe been killed by something else.
I always thought there were 2 seasons in a year. There was summer, that lasted 3 months, and winter, which was the remaining 9 months.
when i was little i was outside in the rain trying to catch it on my toung and my brother told me it was the pee airplans dump and i freaked out and kept spitting and later asked my mom and she laughed and said no it wasnt so i went and yelled at my brother
When people would use the term in the 40's, 50's 60's,etc. to describe the temperature outside. I thought it meant that was the decade people were acting like. Like if you said it's supposed to be in the 70's today, I would have thought there'd be men with afros, and women rollerskating outside! I finally figured it out after watching the weather channel one day.
When I was 5 years old I used to believe that the clouds in the sky are fixed and the movement of the earth, cause that we feel they moved
When i was little my daddy told me that when it was snowing outside the angels up in heaven were chipping ice.
I used to think clouds were made of vanilla ice cream.
On cloudy days, I used to believe that God had kept his "blinds" shut because he wasn't dressed.
I thought that lightening was God taking pictures.
I also believed that thunder was God yelling at the Angels for not cleaning their rooms.
It wasn't until 2 years ago that I found out it snowed on the Jersey shore. And I'm 22 and live in Pennsylvania.
I really thought that every beach everywhere was warm and tropical year round.
I believed that the weather was always the same throughout the world. So, if it was raining where I lived then it was raining everywhere else.
When I was young, I thought I could touch the clouds by climbing to the top of the jungle-gym.
I used to believe that winter was literally right around the corner!! One summer day i was playing with my friend and we wanted to play in the snow...my mom told us not to worry because winter was right around the corner!! we believed her and went looking...we were very disappointed when we didn't find it. LOL
i used to believe that when it rained little men in the clouds were shooting down bullets to try kill me
i used to believe that wind mills make the wind blow
I thought planes collected clouds to make cotton balls.
I used to believe that to make it rain God turns on a lot of bath showers that were in the clouds. (I would even imagine God quickly turing hundreds of showers to make rain!)
When i was about 6 years old, i thought God was washing his"LEGO" town, when it was raining here.
I used to believe that when the sky was pink, the weather men were up in the sky checking what the weather was going to be the next day.
