I always thought that a little person lived inside each mailbox waiting to take my letter to its destination.
When i was about 8, i remember seeing a sign that said "Brat Roast this weekend" at a church. I thought they'd be roasting disobedient children. It didn't occur to me that "brat" was short for Bratwurst.
I remember being in the car when it was beginning to get dark and seeing the street lights turn on one by one. I thought that there was a massive room full of thousands of computers, one for each lamp and there was a man who had to switch them on individually. When I was about 7, we watched a 'Come Outside' video at school which explained that therre are sensors which can tell if iut is dark and switch them on. I couldn't wait to get out of school that day to tell my mum the 'truth'!
when i was about 3 i went shopping for the first time in a supermarket and the shiny floor tiles really freaked me out i thought i was falling down through them and freaked
When i around 5 or 6 and went to the supermarkets with my parents, they used to leave it til the store was shutting before they would finish their shopping. I remember the staff pulling down the roller doors and i used to scream and cry, thinking that we'd be locked inside for the night. I would pull in my mothers arm and try to drag her out the door before the mean staff locked us in!

The mother of a friend of mine always warned us to use the restroom before swimming, because (according to her), the water would turn green around us. I believed it for the longest time.
I used to believe that when you paid tax on a purchase, you paid extra money because you didn't have any tacks to pay, and that the cashier took the money and bought the tacks themselves so they wouldn't get in trouble with the IRS.

I used to think that if you walked underneath a certain bridge near my house, and you talked whilst you were doing it, you'd get bad luck for 7 years. 20 if you walked underneath it when a train went past. I still get worried when I'm talking whilst walking under it now! *goes slightly red*
