When I was little we used to go to Florida every summer...Ever since I can remember..One summer when we were there..I was about 5...My parents started talking to this lady and she looked at me and said..."Your very lucky to get to come to Disney world so young...It took me 40 years to get here!" And I just look at her and said.."Why, what did you do? Walk here?" Needless to say my parents were laughing really hard and I still get pick on about that one, 13 years later!

I used to think the 10 gallon hat that is the sign for Arby's Restraunt was a big fish, and I couldn't figure out why they sold roast beef sandwiches and not fish sandwiches.

When I was around 5 or 6, i thought UPS trucks were driven by Oompa-Loompas that tried to kidnap children to make them test candy at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

At one time during my childhood I hated going shopping. That was because we couldn't buy everything in the store. I thought merchandise in a store would be sad every time someone passed by without buying it. I hated making all that merchandise sad.

As a small child, I believed that items sold in small sizes,
like, 1/2 dozen eggs, travel size shampoo, quart of milk etc. where only for "short people" and I told my mom I wanted to be a short person when I grew up so I can buy the cute stuff.....

Up until I was about 10 years old, I used to believe that if you got icecream from the icecream man after 8:00PM, then he would turn into the boogie man and that he would catch people and put them in his van so he could make me into ice cream. So every time I would hear the ice cream man music, I would start screaming and had to warn everybody in the house that the boogie man was going to get them if they didn't keep the doors locked.

when i was little we friends used to go for shopping. if the count is odd i.e. if there are odd number of people. we used to carry a stone along. Thats a belief that one should never go oddnumbered. quite a weird belief!!!! huh!!!!!!

The ink-filled plastic anti-theft tags on clothes in department stores would automatically explode if taken outside the store.

I used to belive a man went round all the street lights to turn them on at night and that he would go and turn them all off in the morning!

My little brother (two years younger, can you believe this?) had my sister and I convinced that the escalator would catch my feet if I did not use the correct procedure for getting off. Since my brother is MUCH smarter than I, I always jumped instead of stepping off. to this day (I'm seventeen) I cannot get off an escalator without jumping.

Every 2 years our family drives out to Yakima, Washingon for our family reunion. We always passed those bales of hay wrapped in white plastic. My grandma told us that it was the marshmallow field. For years I wondered why the marshmallow package didn't say "Grown in Yakima"

When I was little, my cousins used to live at the end of a court. Because the road didn't continue but just ended at their house, I believed that after their backyard would be only sea, because it was the edge of Australia. It never occured to me to wonder why there were more houses behind my cousins house, though.

I always wanted to go to Disney World when I was a kid - and I was so sure this road right up the street from me was the way to Disney World. When we finally ended up going to Disney World, of course, I couldn't figure out why we didn't take that road, and why it took so long to get there... (I live in Ohio!)

I had a recurring dream quite often when I was young, a nightmare that when I went shopping at the mall with my parents, in the clothing store the mannequins/dummies would somehow draw me away from them... and then never let me leave the mall. They would always keep me there with them and no matter what I did, I'd never get away.

Throughout my early elementary school years (up until grade 4), I would not accept clothing from a store that had mannequins in it (of any sort, even just body parts like arms or waists). I was terrified of them. The sight of one creeped me out and I would scream and cry to be removed from the store. My poor parents could not figure out what the hell was wrong with me because I never told anyone about the dream. I was terrified to stay in the store because I was afraid the mannequins would get me. It got to the point where I had to see a psychologist for my problem- and she worked out a solution where I no longer feared them (and stopped having the dream).

Yeah, I was a weird kid.

i used to believe that when you were riding on an escalator that if you didnt get off in time you would go through the little cracks, go around a belt, back up to the top and have to ride back down in hopes of not getting stuck in the vicious cycle again.

I always thought that when I went to the dentist the chain holding the towel around my neck fastened me to the chair. I somehow never thought about the fact that I had to lean forward to spit and wouldn't be able to if I was chained to the headrest!

When I was small, everytime I saw a water tower, I thought the Animaniacs would pop out (because in the cartoon, they lived in a water tower)!
