I used to believe…

When I was younger I got a lot of things mixed up. For example, I walways got confused with Al Gore and Bill Clinton, in terms of who was who. I also got mixed up with Chicago and Detroit.

When I was in kindergarten or first grade there was a girl who had the same birthday as me. She looked liked I did, our teachers even confused us. So I assumed that everbody who had the same birthday looked alike. It wasn't until I met my aunt's friend who had her birthday but looked nothing like her that I realized I was wrong.

I always thought that Osama and Obama were the same people. Imagine my suprise when he ran for president! I was so confused until my parents explained to me they were different people. I was 13 at the time.

For a time I kinda thought my great grandpa was John Lennon. (His name was John.) I don't know why I thought this. It would be really cool if I was related to John Lennon because he is my idol!!!!!!!

I was on the Bozo the Clown show once. When I saw him in person I could see the line where the cap that held his fake hair met his face. To me it looked like his head was cracked and I was so afraid that it would break open and all his brains would spill out. I sat in terror during the entire show.

I believed that if you lied that your nose would really grow like Pinnochios, so everytime I would lie I would hold my nose in to keep it from growing, so my mom pretty much knew everytime I told a lie.

When I was about 4 years old I used to believe that adults would take out their hair because they were all bald aliens and they only wore hair when I was around because it was a secret.

I believed this until the day I was in a bar with my parents and I told them I was going for a walk but I came back when I reached the corner, I found a big bald man and I hit him in the head with a toy thinking he was my father.

At first when I came to this sitw I thought Anon was somebody's actual name. I wondered how they could have so many weird beleifs. Then I realized that it meant Anonymous. Haha oops!

My friends little sister once asked us if we could tell her what it is we do to attract boys. We told her that there's a ritual that she had to do called "The Mating Call".
"You have to put your hands under your arms and flap them while standing on one foot. Then say " CooCoo Ca Chu" as loud as you can," we told her.
She did it every time she saw a boy she liked. It was hella funny.

When I was younger I would always want to go to parties with my mommy and daddy. This was at the same time that I was getting all my immunizations, so I hated all shots. So my mommy proceeded to tell me that they were going to "shot parties" and you have to get shots if you want to go. I didn't figure out that "shot parties" are imaginary until I was 12.

Im not racist at all, I was just never introduced to diversity until I got older but I Honestly thought the boogie man was a black man dressed up in all black with a stocking cap on that only came out at night.

We used to have a bunch old skeleton keys, they were on a big ring, and the keys were huge, and the hung on a old wood burning stove/fireplace in our house. I would play with them a lot. One day I was about 5 I asked my dad what they were for, and he told me that if I was ever bad, he would show me.. He said that the police asked him to take care of the really bad criminals and monsters and that they lived in a jail in our attic, and that those were the keys to the cells. He said their favorite thing to eat was bad little kids, and that they must be starving by now because he hadn't fed them in a while... I was scared to death! When ever my cousins or friends would come over and start getting loud I'd warn them about the attic, and the keys. I believed that for a very long time.

For the first like, 4 times I went to this site, I thought "anon" was a real name of a person! I kept thinking to myself, "Wow! Anon really believed in a lot of things!"
