My brother was mean to me when i was young. We were sitting in the car while our mother was visiting someone real quick, and those little plastic reflecter things were in the road. My brother pointed to it, since it was pretty close to our car, and told me it was a bomb. I got out of that car SO fast.
I used to think underwear was somethink you would wear under your pants. but thanks to my brother, everything is all straigtened out now

This happened when i was seven. My EVIL ten-years-older-than-me brother told me that he was actually a really big three year old. His other seventeen year old friends agreed with him, so i believed him.
I suddenly got the idea that i was negative-seven years old because my parents said he was ten years older than me.
Yes, i did the math all wrong. I was only seven!
Anyway, i started freaking out because i thought that i was'nt even born yet... maybe i was a freak of nature? That made me belive a whole lot of other things that made absolutley no sense.
All because of my brother. -.-;

Someone I know thought that your favorite number has to be the same as your age, so on your birthday your favorite number is different.
i used to think that clowns were one of the nicest people on the earth. I considered them as like another race. When i was observing a clown painting a kids faces, I heard it say s**t. I was so devested because clowns were the only nice people i knew, and i thought a clown would never say something like that. I then became cynical for a while. then i relised that clown were people in make-up and costume, so i thought they should be ashamed of being something, that they are not.
I used to think, reading alot of these posts, that anon was someone who made up all these beliefs so he could be famous and popular! I also thought that once you posted so many beliefs you became a valued member and your name was then orange, so everyone knew that you had alot of beliefs. For a while I tried to think of every belief I ever had, without cheating, so I could have my name in orange too. Wow, that's embarrassing!

when i was little i used to think that only cool, or pretty people went to high school or grew up. I didnt have any other brothers or sisters and my parents wheren't from here, so i had no one to tell me other wise. Since everyone on tv and in the movies where so pretty and cool, and the kids would always make fun of me, i though i would never grow up or go to high school.

When I was 10 I went to bored.com and saw this website. Considering that I was 10 at the time, most of the humor flew over my head. Either way, when I read the entries by Anon, I thought Anon was a real person!

when I was younger I would watch the old cartoons and would belivethey really did make invisablity cream that would make you dissapper when you rubed it all over you. I told myself when I get older I was going to buy that cream and turn invisable. I was going to get even with the bullys in my school. The thing we belive as kids=)

I used to belive that tights were things that girls wore to hide the scales on their legs....that was when i was in the "oooh-girl yucky stage" of my youth.
I had a really little pair of short shorts when i was 7, and i thought that if someone else wore them then they'd become me !

when i was a child and someone made me really angry or frustrated i would take these black sun glasses that my grandmother bought me and place them tightly over my eyes and through my strawberry blonde curls. And at that exact moment i believed that no one.no one! could see me or do anything to me. I was hidden and invisible. why did the world have to prove otherwise? Sometimes, even though i know i am seen, i can put on my sunglasses let my memories drift back to the old days(though i was born in the eighties) and know that there is some kind of barrier between me the shades and you. Thanks Gramma=) love -kat

my aunt used to tell her children that she has a house somewhere, as big as a palace and done up like one, and whenever the children asks about it she would say that it was still in building. and they believed her and waited for the day to move into the palace.

When I was in elementary school, I really wanted to be a cheerleader. I had seen some cheerleaders perform and they had put tiny bells on their shoes by threading them through the shoelaces. I thought all cheerleaders wore bells on their shoes all day long.
I decided that I would be "cool" like the cheerleaders, so I put a bell on each of my shoes. I wore these 2 small bells to school on my shoes the next day. I discovered it wasn't so "cool" to have bells on your shoes at school!!! I jingled with every step as I walked the halls of school. It became so annoying to everyone that my teacher asked me to try and walk softly, so I wouldn't make so much noise!!! How embarassing!!! LOL.

Until just about a second ago, I gathered that the orange "anon" signed beliefs were from the beginning of the site when the creator (named Anon) put a few on there to get people to visit and decide to submit their own.
Of course, then I realized the boring truth. :P

Once, when I was little, some slightly older kids I was playing with drew a circle around me and said that if I left it cacti would grow through my feet. They proceeded to taunt me from outside.
Needless to say, I believed them and weeped and cried loudly until my mom came to my rescue to carry me out and yell at the others.

When I was about 12 I asked my mom how people got emu oil. Her response was you put your forefinger and thum on either side of the emu's leg and almost milked the emu oil out. She always said that she never lied so I believed her for a few weeks until she finally told me differently.
