I thought it was illegal to call your parents by their real name. One day I even tested it out to see if I'd get arrested, "KELLY!" I shouted for my mom and then ran to my room crying.

I thought I was the only person in the world with the name Josie and if anyone else was named Josie they'd get arrested. One day while going to the bank with my mom I heard a man calling his little girl, "Josie come here!" I quickly ran up and corrected him.. "You change her name right now or she's going to jail and it will be all your fault!" My mother grabbed me, apologized and we were sent home. I thought this was because they wanted to clear out the bank before they arrested the little girl. Then one day I was told otherwise when I asked my mother if I can apologize for getting her put in jail. Boy, was I disappointed..

When me and my sister were little, I my uncle would always take us out after school, unless he was terribly sick. Well, we LOVED Hardees, I guess it was becuase of the play pin, so we would spen HOURS ON IN, in that playpin full of balls, after a while, he got burnt out on Hardees. We passed one day, "Uncle Uncle, HARDEES!!!" and his reply "Uh...They are closed for cleaning"

When I was little, my grandpa and uncle Mike scared the shit out of me saying that if I was a bad girl, they were going to take me to the baby market and sell me for another baby. My grandpa would show me this big building and say, "See sissy, there's the baby market, you'd better be good today!!" He'd even go out of the way to scare me by saying they only fed you corn cobs, beans, and brocolli (I hated all three of them) I learned that it was made up when I was about 11.

As a very young child (kindergarten-age or so), I believed that it took longer for my birthday to come around every year because it was in January--at the beginning of the year. In my mind, I had to wait for the WHOLE year for my birthday to roll around, whereas everyone else would, I guess, be having multiple birthdays. Ah, sweet innocence.
I was told when I was very young that every time you lied a bump would grow on the back of your tongue and if too many lies were said the bumps would grow very big and you wouldn't be able to talk anymore.

In my elementary school, there were two kids with Down syndrome. I didn't really understand what was up with them because no one would talk about it - I only knew that they looked funny, in sort of the same way, so I assumed they were related.
When I found out the truth I felt like I'd committed some terrible crime, and every time I come across someone with Down syndrome, I'm a little afraid they'll be mad at me for it.

Once I told my sister that I wasn't really her sister & I was an alien called invader Zim. I said that I had killed her real sister & If she didn't help me take over the world, I would kill her too. She believed me & I got away with it until we got a call from her kindergarten teacher asking why my sister was acting so weird!

When i was younger i used to think that anon in magazines, etc, Was one person. It wasn't until one day i said to my mum "Man this anon guy writes in alot!" that she told me it was just anonnamous.
I thought "Anon" was a gun or explosion powder that was used as somebody's name. I thought to myself, " How on earth does this guy have so many childhood beliefs?". Well, I just found out who he is when I visited the "Anon" section in the Language beliefs.

when i was little, i used to make faces, especially the one where you put your fingers in your cheeks and pull so you have a horizontally oblong-ish mouth. my mom told me that if the wind blew the wrong way, my face would stay like that forever.

When I was little, I used to believe that my name was "Mico," even though I knew it was spelled Michael. I got this idea from the Nickoloden game show, GUTs that was hosted by "Mico Malley" (Mike O'Malley) After that I thought that "micowaves" (microwaves) and "mico machines" (Micro Machines) were named after me.
I once made my little cousin believe that his name used to be "Ajabar" and they changed it to John when he was too. He then ran to his mom yelling "Mommy, I want my name to be "Ajabar" again!"

My Mother always told me that when we lied a black hole would appear on our hearts and with every lie would grow bigger. It was very very rare for me to lie. And it taught me not to cause I don't now

my sister had a thing for tricking me when i was younger. one day she told me all of these things that supposedly happened to me in my earlier years. the one that i believed the most was the falling off the empire state building and breaking my leg story. because i had a big scar on my knee already, she used that as evidence.
so one day my mom was talking to her friend and she was talking about something that her son had done and miraculously survived without injury, and feeling the need to impress i blurted about that grand time i fell off he empire state building and only broke my leg.
