For Christmas, when I was 5, I got a Baby So Beautiful, which is an American doll that is designed in millions of ways, which means it can look like any little kid. I got one that looked exactly like me brown hair, green eyes and big red lips. I thought for a while that my sister and I (who got one too) were famous and everyone was buying our dolls. This happened until I looked at the catalogue.

My brother, whom I never quite forgave for this, told me one day that another name for a theme park was a brothel. So about a month later, we went to Florida. We got on a large bus, and passed Disneyworld. As I saw the large Epcot center peeking over the trees, I shouted, "Look mom! A brothel! Can we please go?"
Needless to say, my brother was punished rather badly.
I used to believe that my doctor was Bill Gates - he looked a lot like him, and his last name WAS Gates... I was kind of disappointed when I found out that his first name was Tom.

My birthday is April 2nd and every year on April fools day my dad used to tell me the government had cancelled the next day so I couldn't have a birthday and I used to think "parents wouldn't lie about something that important!" Somehow I have made it to 25 regardless of this.

When I was little I used to think that our parents could pick out any day and that would be their kids birthday. I was so mad at my mum because she didn't pick Christmas day to be my birthday. I finally realised what it really meant when I was 6.

When I was about six, I was (and still am) very close with my cousin, who is two years older then me. Well my birthday is in June and hers in August. I would get so mad when i told her I WAS older because my birthday came first and she would tell me i was wrong

When I was little I used to always have my birthday parties on my actual birthday. One year, to trick me a couple of days before my birthday (and party) my mom said that my birthday wasn't on the 11th of November but the 12th. when I went to school that day I told everyone who was coming to my party that we got the dates wrong and they were all to come the day after. Well, needless to say, my mom didn't trick me after that!

My aunt told me once that a six-legged woman had escaped from a circus in a nearby town in Mississippi. She carried this on for months. Telling me the woman had been clocked by a Highway Patrol running down the highway at 125 mph. Also she hated men but didn;t hurt women, I won't say what awful things she did to men. I believed this, not really thinking about it after awhile, until I was in my early twenties and told my husband about it. He thought it was hilarious and asked me just how many tampons this woman used.

When i was about to turn 5, i was also about to start kindergarten. i knew that my mom always said that when i was 5 i would go to school, so i thought that if i never turned 5 i would never have to go to school. So, i asked my mom to cancel my fifth birthday (which i thought was possible). i thought that if i never had a birthday party i would just stay 4 forever! my mom made up for it by giving me a really fun party, we went to a gymnasium and it was pretty cool.

I used to think for some reason that when you wore clothes with buttons on them, you put on the shirt and then somebody came up and sewed them on your body and they stabbed you with a needle as they did it. i still rarely wear shirts with buttons.

When my mother was a child, she believed that being a clown was a birth defect rather just makeup. She thought that if you were born with a face like that, you had to join the circus to entertain people. There were no other options.

When I was young, my mom always used to say "I have to do some errands." I have a younger brother named Aaron. So I used to think we were going out to do some "Aarons" and always jealously wondered if we would ever do some "Sandras."
