When I made faces at my sisters, my parents always reminded me that if I did that too much my face would stay that way!! I was horrified, but then I thought of a genius idea. I always wanted eyes that would turn upwards at the end, so I stayed in front of the mirror, holding my eyes that way, for almost an hour. No, it didn't work.

One time, I was at my dad's apartment about at age 4. I believed my sister Sara cut all the big celebrity's hair, like Jewel(dad's roommate played her music all the time). My sister,Sara, and I decided to play barbershop. Well, she was the barber. I ended up having a pretty wacked out 'do, like a really short version of Cydni Lauper lol...

In my preschool, I had a friend named Katie. She had lice, and to get it all out, they shaved her head. I thought my friend Katie had turned into a little leprechaun boy! I asked her if she was, and thats why we're not friends today. :) (Currently 7th Grade)

Up until I was about 10, my dad always called hair gel "Brokaw" because of Tom Brokaw on the news, and how he always had his hair gelled. My brother and I thought that Brokaw was another name for hair gel and called it that.

When I was little, I used to think that if you had twins, you had to name them the same name, and dress them in the same clothes.

when my brother and I were younger, like 7 and 5, I had told him that our parents had allowed him to be part of a top secret government experiment. They had taken a cow's brain and his brain and switched them! He had the cow's brain and somewhere there was a cow with his brain. I told him that he couldn't ever tell mom that he knew or the experiment would be a flop and the government would come and take him away. One day when we were older, 12 and 10, we were hanging with mom and he broke down and tears and told mom that 'he knew about the cow's brain'. I had to excuse myself from the room I was laughing so hard. We're 30 & 28 now and I still moo at him when he's done something stupid!

This isn't quite a belief, but when I was very young the only movie I'd watch was Disney's Beauty and the Beast and all I would wear was dresses. Whenever my mother bought my a new dress, I would be immensly proud of it, and walk up to strangers in the grocery store checkout line and proclaim "Dis is my Booty dress!" and spin around for approval. (I could not pronounce Beauty).
When I got home after buying a dress, I would go infront of a mirror and tell my mother "I Booty!" I never relized until recently what people found so funny about that phrase.

I used to believe that if I wore my brothers' old clothes I'd turn into a boy, which was clearly what had happened to them. I wore nothing but dresses and skirts 'til I was 8.

My sister used to tell me that if you wore "boxing shoes" that you would be able to run faster. Of course later in life I became aware that they were just regular sneakers.

For a long time when i was little, i never made faces (like put my nose up like a pig) while i was outside and the wind was blowing, because my aunties and uncle told me that if ou do that, then your face will stay like that forever. My aunties even told me that they knew a girl in their class at school who had done that, and that she always had a screwed up face because she'd done just that.

I have a younger brother called Zac. In New Zealand, ANZAC day is a war holiday thingy. My brother was about 5 and he asked me what ANZAC day was. I told him it was the day they eat all the Zacs. He started crying, and asked mum if he was gonna be eaten. She had no idea what he was on about.

My mother, father, and brother are all born in September. I'm born in April (hence my name!), so I somehow believed I was inferior to them. And when I found out my two best friends were born in September too, I regretfully informed them that I wasn't able to be friends with them anymore!
