My birthday is in July. When I was little, I thought the 4th of July fireworks were in honor of MY birthday.
for some reason when i was younger i thought that i had 2 bdays. my bros birthdays on 3rd of may and mines on th 18th and apprently i was born on th 3rd so my parents changed it because they didnt want two of their kids to have the same birthday cos they didnt want to buy 2 sets of presents in one go. so i thought my real birthday was on th 3rd and th 18th one was just another thing. and it dint help when my frend said the same thing as well (dat she had 2 birthdays)i fink my bro told me dat as well. he normally told me a load of crap
I have always been known for being extremely gulable. I like to think I have grown out out it, but who knows? Anyway, I was eight years old. My step-mother's friend Elise came to our house in California all the time. So she was a good friend of mine. Anyway, one day we were talking and she said, "Your feet are growing...you wore a size 2 last year and now you wear a size 3. That means next year you will turn 3, not 9." I'm guessing she was going to tell me she was joking but someone called her in another direction. I dreded my birthday. The day before my birthday i bawled my eyes out. My mom couldn't figure out why so i was sent to a psychitrist who didn't help me any. Finally, I told my mom what was bothering me. She had a long talk with Elsie and That's how i got my name Gulable Gabby.
I used to think my mom and Doctor Suess were twins because i had the same birthday.
when i waz little i used to think that i didnt have a birthdathen i thought i had three brithdays feb.28 feb.29 & march 1 because i waz born on feb 29
My family raised me to be religeous, so naturally I was taught that Jesus was born on December 25. I was born on christmas eve, and I always believed that Jesus was the only person born on 'christmas' and that was why I had been born on christmas eve. I thought it was impossible to be born on christmas because that was reserved for Jesus Only....
Since my parents brought me into this world, I thought they decided when my birthday would be influencing when I'd get presents. I'd get mad when my mom said that the day I asked her wasn't my birthday, thinking that she just didn't want me to get presents every day.
I was 2 weeks late, I was supposed to be born on Feb. 29th (it was a leaper year). I knew leaper year came every 4 years, so I assumed I was REALLY lucky I was late, cause if I was born on Feb. 29th I could only have a birthday every 4 years... So 4 years were equal to only 1 Year for me.
I used to believe that you could only be born on a holiday or someone else's birthday. Funny enough I still believe that now..my oldest daughter was born on my birthday, and my other daughter was born on "Patriot's Day" (the OLD patriots day AKA Paul Revere's Midnight Ride not to be confused with the new one on Sept 11th.)
Just where does this belief come from? Hmmm...
My Bday April 4th (sometimes also Easter)
May 31/June 2 & 3rd Parents Anniv, bdays
Feb 18 Bro's Birthday (near Valentine's Day, honest to god he was late, and I thought my parents were worried because he missed the 14th, but made up for it by being born in the car in a blizzard!)
and my poor little brother was born on Oct 15....so I saved him by getting married on Oct 16th!
And he still won't let me live down that his birthday was overshadowed by my Rehearsal Dinner! :-)
So now..I tell the children it's the truth, you just don't know the person who shares your birthday yet, or the holiday will be invented just wait!
i thought it took 13 days for you to reach the age you turn on your birthday.
When I was in third grade my best friend made me believe all muslims actually celebrated their birthdays on new year's eve. I thought that was true for years after that!
I used to believe that my next-oldest sister and I were twins because for years we celebrated on the same day every year. Never mind the fact that she's _5_YEARS_AND_2_DAYS_OLDER_ than I am!
Told ya I was a weird kid!!!
:-P
My birthday and Paul McCartney's birthday are both on June 18th. For a while I thought he was talking about me when he sang "It's my birthday too, yeah". I felt very special.
My brother and I are a year and a half apart....So on either of our birthdays the other of us would be our age and a half. Then when i went to school i used to tell other kids that they couldnt be "7 1/2" untill their brother or sisters birthday. haha
I used to believe my birthday was a place instead of a day. My birthday is April fourth. I thought that the fourth was the same place you went when you went back and forth. Once my mom told me my birthday was coming up while we were going somewhere in the car, so I was very dissapointed when I found out our final destination wasn't the fourth.
When I was little, I thought very year you had a birthday, you went into someone else's body, but your eyes, and your brain were the same still. Haha. I don't know why. I guess I was odd.
When I was young I was SO convinced that I should be older than my sister because my birthday was in August and hers was in September. To a young girls mind, since my birthday came before hers I obviously was older. (regardless of the fact that she was 3 years older than me.)
When I was in elementary school, I used to think that you only had one birthday every other year. My parents were confused once when I told them I didn't have a birthday that year, because I already had one last year.
When I was in kindergarden, I thought my birthday was november the 31st, which is no such thing. My mom isn't american and has an accent, so when she told me it was november 30th it sounded like 31th. My sister caught on to what I thought when I was in first grade, and told me my birthday was on the 30th,just in time, cause in that grade, we made a birthday tree, so it was just in time.
i used to believe that my birthday date changed every year so would ask 'mum what day is my birthday this year?' until i was about 12... iv led a confussin life
