When I found out that Hell was all fire and heat, I pictured the devil being a microwave with the buttons and arms coming out of his sides and everything. It wasn't until later I saw the horned figure of him.

When I first started school, one of my friends told me her family were Taoists. I asked her what that was and she said they believed that the Tao was all around us, all over us, and all inside us. For a little while after that, I used to take long baths to try to wash all the Tao off of me.

When I was little my sister and I would say our pryers together every night. A passage in The Lords Prayer had me confused for years."lead us snot into temptation. I couldn't figure why something as foul as snot would be in a prayer.

A friend used to believe that the words to the song "and He shall make us fishers of men", was actually "and He shall make us viscous old men".
Curious why God would want us to grow up to be miserable!
I remember that in year 1 i was making something in class and i got glue all over my hands. And when it dried up this other kid told my my skin was peeling off and that i was going to die. So i followed the teacher around affraid to ask her if it was really my skin peeling off.

When I was about 6 years old I went to church for the first time and someone there told me that God was everything. I then pictured God to be a giant pile of household appliances and furniture, mostly consisting of washing machines and couches.

When I was about 4 I thought "God" must be those little purple blitty spots that you saw when you pressed your eyelids shut with your fingers, or stared at the sun for a long time. Why did I think this? Who knows...the blitty spots had no name I knew of, and "God" was something completely beyond my understanding.

I thought this for quite a long time until i actaully saw a bible. My family wern't religious, so i only saw an actual bible when i was about 8 years old

When I was about 4 or 5, I was in Sunday School and the teacher was telling us a watered-down version of the crucifixion of Jesus. She was said that a rabbi hated Jesus and had him killed (by nailing him to a cross, etc). However, being only 4, I thought she said "rabbit" instead of "rabbi," and the first rabbit that I pictured was the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, so for a couple years after that, I thought that rabbits had a personal vendetta against Jesus and that the white rabbit was evil and killed him.

Growing up in a Christian home (and still a Christian now) I was told in church (and on Simpsons amd other TV shows) that when you go to Heaven, you can do whatever you want. I used to think it would be great, because all my favourite TV shows would be on video, and I could watch tem all I wanted. Including epsides that never existed on Earth. Which meant I'd have an endless supply. I found myself thinking about this today (at the age of 19). I'd like to update this belief to be DVD, not video.
I also used to picture that God must use a computer, so that he can keep track of everyone's lives, make natural disasters occur and stuff like that. I think if I were to picture this today, His computer would be a whole lot better than it was when I was 5 or whenever I pictured it!
