My Grandmother used to tell me if I sat anything on top of the Bible, I would go to hell. The Bible had to be above everything.

I asked someone what the silver fish logo on the backs of cars meant when I was about 10, I was told it meant the owners were in the British Angling association. I beleived this till I was about 25...

When I was little, I was positive God looked like Mister Rogers. So whenever I prayed, I had to picture Mister Rogers in my mind or else my prayer would never get to God.

When I was young our family went to church every sunday.And every sunday the whole church said there prayers.there was a part wich was "pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death"I thought that everyone was praying for my family.I finaly ask and till this day i still get teased about it.

My cousin's maid, Mildred, used to say, "Jesus wept." instead of "Amen" at the end of her blessing before meals. I guess that, because she was a housekeeper, they thought she was saying, "Jesus SWEPT."

when i was younger about 7ish me and my friends thought we had summoned the devil to posses my toy skeleton we were so scared we cut the toy into loads of pieces and buried them in different parts of the garden a few months later we saw one of the pieces on the ground (we didnt bury them very far under) and thought it was trying to put it self back together i believed this for years it was soooo scary

I live in Bethlehem and there's a mountain right by my house that has the bethlehem star on it, when I was maybe 3 my cousin pointed to the star and said that's where jesus was born but I thought she was pointing to the street lamp across the street so until I was prob. eight I thought jesus was born in a street lamp!

After learning in Sunday school that God can hear your prayers even if you don't say them out loud, I became extremely worried that the devil might also be able to read my thoughts. I asked my mom about it and she assured me that no, the devil cannot read your mind, only God can. After that I refused to pray out loud because I was convinced the devil would hear what I wanted and then make sure it didn't happen. I also made it a point to thank God for things out loud, just to rub it in the devil's face.

when I was little, when bad things used to happen to me, I used to pray to God that he would rewind my life briefly so I could fix whatever was about to happen. I used to say, 'God, I don't care if I don't remember the experience of it un-happening, I would just really like this to not happen.' so I thought that some horrible things had happened to me in my life, but God would rewind a little bit after my prayers, and of course, I wouldn't know because I said I didn't need to remember it. this is still sort of plausible in my mind today

I was raised Catholic, and one of the hymns we used to sing at communion contained the line, "You satisfy the hungry heart with gift of finest wheat." For the longest time, I thought that it was "You satisfy the hungry FOX," and I couldn't figure out why a fox would be satisfied with wheat. Surely foxes didn't really eat wheat!

When I was little I believed that under all of us and in the core of the earth, that there would be the most evil army of disgusting creatures. Like skeletons or goblins and it was runned by Satan! Every night I got prepared for an invasion of his army. I loaded my Nerf Machine Gun, got my baseball bat ready, loaded my bee-bee gun, and created my own torture weapons if I keep some of them of hostage (only for the night because if my parents would of found out, they would freak). But each night I went to bed, I felt nervous. Because what if they had even better weapons than I could believe and take me as hostage! Then I thought if they came to attack that the rest of the world would be one army. So I felt better and the next morning I was surprised that a lot of things got really wet and messed up and thrown everywhere. My parents told me it was a really big thunder storm. I was really relieved that it wasn't the mayhem of Satan's evil army.

I used to believe that when you drove past grave yards at night, that the light flashing from the head lights was a light on the grave itself.

In Church we say this prayer called "Profession of Faith" or something similar to that. One lines in the prayer goes like, "For us men and for our salvation". When I was little, I thought it was, "For us men and for us salvation" and that 'salvation' was another word for 'women'. =P
