When I was Christian (as a very small child, about 4 years old) at church, we were saying that world without end, amen, thing. I believed I knew every word of it, so I ended up shouting, "World with weird men, amen!" I actually thought those were the words. To top it off, the woman next to my grandmother leaned over and said, "Ain't that the truth."
I used to study in a Christian kindergarten and a Christian elementary school. I was told that God knows the sorrow, guilts, happiness...everything of everything of us! At that time, I thought the God "watched" by televisions and our daily lives were broadcast lived through our corresponding television. I was so amazed that God could watch billions of TV at the same time, managing to know every single movement of all his believers.

Someone once told me I could get into heaven by doing "good works". I used to get excited when the papers my teacher handed back to me in class had a "Good Work!" sticker on it. Then, I began to wonder why I sometimes got papers back with an "Awesome!" or "Nice Job!"....
I was convinced that the hymn 'Lord of the Dance' contained the lyrics 'Don Sept, whoever he may be, I am the Lord of the Dance said he' and pictured a Pied Piper type character leading children dancing all over the hills as he played a recorder. This persisted until I reached the Juniors and we were given our own hymn books... I still picture him thus!

When I was in pre-school, me and my best friend were taught the song "Up from the Grave He Arose"
I, not having the best hearing, thought that the line went " Up from the Gravy he arose-something about mashed potatoes

My family used to tell me that everyone had a piece of Jesus in their hearts. I was certain that I got the foot, and often wondered who got the genitalia.

My sis used to love lasagna. When we went to church, we would sing "Hosanna in the highest" but with my sister's love for lasagna she thought it was "Lasagna in the highest". She actually never found out till the third grade.
I used to believe that if you wore jeans to church, God would strike you down with lightening (I still get a little nervous and pause for a second when I walk through the chuch door wearing jeans...)

My parents are atheists, and raised me as such, but nearly everyone else I knew was Christian. So I'd heard the Christian answer to "what happens when we die" because I had religious friends who had deceased relatives, but I'd never heard the secular answer. All I had heard from my parents on the subject was my dad's jest; "heaven must be awfully crowded."
For the longest time I was convinced that there wasn't enough room in heaven for atheists, so - naturally - we were allowed to keep on living forever until some space freed up. Yup. Still kind of disappointed about this one, actually.

When I was about 5 or 6 and heard about the Holy Spirit, I was really freaked out; maybe I associated "spirit" with ghosts or something. Around the same time, my grandparents had these old G.I. Joes and Star Trek guys, and there was one with black suction cups on his hands. So when I was little, I imagined the Holy Spirit as a fully poseable plastic guy with black suction cups for hands.

When I was a little girl, I imagined God up in heaven with a big book, and for every new day he would turn the page :)

Until about 2 years ago I believed The Lord was in prison at the moment and that's why we had church...to pray for him. Why did I believe this? Because we say "Jesus Christ has risin." I thought it said "Jesus Christ in prison." So I asked my mom why Jesus went to jail. She was confused.

My mom would always make me pray before I went to bed when I was young. She would say the same prayer every night, and it said "if I don't make it through the night, may my soul go to heaven" or something like that, and I would always picture a salt shaker flying up to heaven because "soul" and ''salt" sounded alike. LOL.
I grew up in an assimilated jewish home. As a young child, I wanted to know more about Judaism and nobody was telling me anything and we were not getting more involved in Jewish life. I used to think that this was because we had to be the level of religion that we were raised in. Thank G-d later I found out different and I'm living a observant Jewish lifestyle!

Because I was told that Jesus lived in my heart, I thought there was a little man (Jesus) who stood directly below my throat, and I would never ever eat anything sticky or swallow my gum because I thought it would land on his head and get stuck in his hair.
I use to believe that angels lived above the clouds so when our family did some air traveling, I wanted to sit next to the window because I wanted to see the angels.
