I help my Mom work at a pre-school and all the kids think we live there and we have these little twin boys in our class that are really amotianal and one time my Mom and I were leaving and the twins were with there Mom and tthey saw us and one of them asked us where we were going and my Mom said to or house and they started to cry!!

I used to think everyone just kind of stayed inside and did house work until I got out of school. When I had doctor's appointments and saw people out and about, I assumed they had various emergencies to tend to.

At my school, the office lady would get on the intercom at the end of school and say "Prepare for dismissal now. Bus riders go first."

My ENTIRE year of kindergarten I thought she was saying "Prepare for this missile." and I remember thinking, "Oh no! What missile??" And BEGGING my mom to let me take the bus so I could escape first. I thought the school just favored the people who took the bus and let them get out first in case of a missile attack.

Both my husband and I used to believe that one day soon the Teachers would turn on the Lemonade for the drinking taps instead of them always just being water taps. (Well! What can I say? Us Aussies have always been BIG thinkers!)

in 3rd grade, my friend and i thought that one of out teachers (who we had never seen before) was an alien from mars, and that the closet with the blinky lights was his spaceship.

Wow, we were smart. In actuality, the teacher was new that year, and though we never found out exactly what the lights were, i can assure you, they're no spaceship.

When I learned the pledge, I thought it went:
I pledge (like the cleaner) a legion
To the flag of the USA
And to their we love it - ?
From which his stand
One nation, Underbob, Invisible
With Liberty Ann Justice (like it was a name) 4-all.

I though bob was like another god and stood up on his stand and we pledged the US (a legion) to him and promised to keep it clean or else he would make us invisble. O, and Liberty Justice was his wife.

I used to believe that college was mandatory and was what you went to after high school. My mom and dad always said "After you finish college..." and stuff like that so I assumed you had to go. When I got to middle school and they asked us if we were college bound, I thought it was a test to see if you were going to be a future criminal and ditch school. Then when adults said they didn't go to college I thought that meant they were on a run from the law because skipping school was illegal (or something to that affect)

When i was in kindergarten, I thought the part of pledge of allegiance (USA) went "and to the republic, for Richard stands". So every morning when we said the pledge, I'd turn and smile at the kid named Richard in my class at that part. I thought he was going to grow up, and automaticaly become president.

When I was in grammar school, the fourth and fifth grade had school band. I remember watching the flutes in kindergarten pick up in the middle of some songs. I thought that in band, u could take breaks and just join in when u wanted to in a song

in kindergarden my teacher pretended like our class hamster escaped so we could walk around like we were on a mission, it was fun, but when we asked the lunch lady if she'd seen him she said "oh better find him fast, we're serving lunch hamster for lunch!" later we found him (magically back in his cage) but i skipped lunch that day.

Kids pulling the fire alarm in my Middle school was common. The teachers told us if we pulled the fire alarm that ink would shoot out onto your hand so that way they could tell who was responsible.

When I was in elementary school and looking ahead to junior high, I was nervous because I knew there would be gym class and I thought the boys and girls showered together afterwards.

When i first started school i thought that the teachers lived at school and slept on the bean bags in the reading area. I believed that until I was about nine.
Also when my older cousin was staying with us for a while he told me he was god, I was only three at the time and was especially nice to him from then on, (only when i shared the secret with my mum, was i corrected).

I used to believe that I would get in serious trouble for not saying the pledge. Tried it out one day, got dragged to the office, and got informed by the principal that it was my right not to say the pledge. Woohoo for opening my eyes to my rights!

I used to believe that there was at least one person in every school who could read minds. I always had to censor my thoughts at school because I never knew who could have been "listening." I couldn't even think things like "So-and-so's hair looks weird today" because I was afraid that the mind reader at my school would tell them what I thought and they would get mad at me.

when i was 8 my dad told me that my teacher had a secret passage in a cabinet that led to the office. when you would go inside there was a guy who asked for a password.

weeks later i asked her, "what cabinet is the passage in?", she stared at me and then laughed. I was a confused little boy... :P

I was in 2nd grade when the Challenger Space Shuttle exploded. I was in the office pretending to be sick when everyone started freaking out I only heard snippets of their conversation but concluded that the teacher on board was MY teacher since she wasn't at school that day. I wasn't sad about her though, I hated her. Mrs. Garfield if your reading this...you made my life hell.
