When I was little, I used to think you had to go to a school that taught you where all the places in the city were. Like you would never know how to get to Target or Toys R' Us unless you took this class...What?!???

when I was in first grade our teacher was out on maternity leave and in her place was a young substitute. She had pale skin, and really dark hair, and she had really big teeth... or at least we thought so. Me and my friend were convinced that she was a vampire and every time she did something mean we would make a slash on a secret piece of paper then we tried to use the paper to prove to everyone else that she was a vampire....thankfully she either never found out or let it slide.

When in my first year of school, I was convinced my female teacher was really my dad in disguise, sent to watch over me. I thankfully never told my teacher or my father this, because I felt I'd be in serious trouble if i rumbled his secret identity.

I used to believe that the big kids in high school spent all of their breaks jumping rope. When I'd asked my oldest sister what was the best thing about high school, she told me, "Skipping." I didn't know that "skipping" was slang for cutting class. I thought high school must be fabulous because she told me that even the boys skipped...along with the girls! I thought this until I actually started high school in Grade 8. I couldn't figure out why NOBODY was jumping rope. After she finished laughing at me, my oldest sister explain it all to me. I was so disappointed!

As a toddler, I loved the show Spot. There was this one episode where Spot goes to school, and he carries his lunchbox in his mouth, becuase he is a dog.

Well, I actually though it was the proper way to hold a lunchbox, so once when my Mom was out shopping, I saw a lunchbox for sale and put the handle in my mouth. The shopkeeper didn't seem too mad...

I thought teachers knew absolutely everything there was to know!
I also stared at the back of their heads for hours, looking for the eyes.

In elementary school, I used to think the teachers use to have different voices when they went into that faculty room. I always tried to sneak a peek before the door closed.

This wasn't mine, but rather one a math teacher told me:

We he taught 6th grade, he had a student come up and tell him, after the first day of class, that Elemtary School Math was where you learned to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, and Middle School Math was where you learned to add, subtract, multiply, and divide letters instead.

When we we're in Nursey school we all used to sit on the carpet and sing a song called "Daddies taking us to the Zoo tomorrow" I used to worry that the teachers had arranged this without making sure 1.my daddy knew that he was taking a class full of 5 year olds to the zoo and 2.wether or not he had the room in the car.

When I was in school i thought that teachers read scripts to say good moring blah blah blah

I remember learning the Pledge of Alliegence in first grade. We were told to put our hand over our heart. I became so fixated on feeling my heart beat, that I thought it would stop if my hand was not feeling it. I would casually sneak a feel whenever I could, hoping no one would ask what I was doing.

In kindergarten, one day our teacher told us to be on our best behavior because there was going to be a fire drill later. I had no idea what a fire drill was, but man did it sound cool! A drill that used fire to drill through anything! Imagine what I could do with that! I wanted that fire drill so bad - you better believe I was on my best behavior (I assumed whoever was best-behaved got the fire drill, of course). Man, was I disappointed later on that day.

I used to belive that work was better than study XD
