I used to believe…
When I was about 3 or 4 I thought that your age was your grade in school. On my brothers birthday I thought I'd show off how smart I was and tell them what grade they were in. (I'm the youngest in my family) All my brother and sisters friends were there and they all laughed at me like I was an idiot. I was so embarrassed.

When I was 5 I used to believe that the planet 'Pluto' was actually the disney character who had been banished from the planet because he had been really naughty, and sent into orbit. I believed that until I was about 8, when I had a Science lesson on the Solar System, when I then learnt that it was a planet of it's own. I felt really stupid when my teacher told the class that it was the furthest planet, and not a disney character. I wasn't the only one who felt foolish., though. Plenty of people mady 'daft' mistakes that lesson.

I used to believe that the only reason children went to school was to give their parents free time. I thought school was a babysitting service in disguise.

In first grade my teacher told the entire class that she was 104 y.o. like kids we believed her. I told my mom and brother. And my brother who had her 15 years before told me jokingly that she was 104 when he was there to. I was confused but for some reason I continued to believe that she was 104 until my mom later confermed that when I was there she was about 50.

when I was little, I remember hearing our teacher teaching us about fire safety. You know how everyone always say: STOP, DROP, and ROLL? we'll I thought you got to pick one. Good thing I always told myself if I was on fire, I would pick ROLL!

When I was at nursery school, our teacher told us we would be going into assembly for the first time, ready for when we moved up into real school. I had no idea what assembly was at all, and thought it was a museum with lots of white statues in it that you walked around. I was a bit disappointed when I got into the assembly hall and realised we just sat in a line and sang hymns!

"And to the republic, for britches stands" was what I thought it was. Someone told me the real thing, but I never found out what britches were.
I used to believe that teachers lived at school, and that all they ever did was make lessons and teach, even during the summer. At the time I was eight or so, and I used to feel really bad for my teacher, so every day before leaving for the bus to go home I would walk by her and say, "Sorry!"
I used to beleive that sex ed was a class where all the boys and all the girls had to get naked and have sex. I was looking forward to it a lot and picking my partner. I was so dissappointed when all we had to do was watch videos and stuff like that.

When I was little I would go to day care and I would cry and cry and have a huge fit. I always thought that my mom just took me to day care and left and went back home. My mom never knew why I had such big fits each day, until one time I came home with a drawing of me at day care told my mom that's where I go when you go home. Then my mom had to straighten it all out and told me that she goes to work, so she can make money to buy me toys. After that, I never had fits when I went to daycare.

Every Friday at my school we would always have chocolate milk instead of regular milk, so that morning I had drank my milk but it was expired. The teacher had always said if we were sick to run to the bathroom and you didn't have to ask. I was always a good kid and I thought it was rude to just walk out of the room and I raised my hand to ask if I could go to the restroom. She told me she would answer my question after she had finished her lesson. I put my hand down but I wasn't feeling any better so I raised my hand several more times and got the same response so I got up to ask her if I could go to the restroom and right when I got to her I threw up all over her shoes, the whole class laughed and the teacher almost cried because her shoes were new. I was sent to the nurse, while I was visiting her ,the principle came in to ask why I didn't go to the bathroom when I first felt sick. I told him I tried but the teacher wouldn't let me go so I thought that she got what she deserved for not letting me leave, he agreed and my mother was called to the school. We had a meeting and I ended up changing teachers. I was glad because I didn't really like her anyway.
