I used to believe that Kindergarten was a place where kids went and played in the garden and ate garden food and played with the bugs and bunnies that were in the garden. LOL!!

I used to believe that teachers could make up their own name when they became teachers, I didn't realize it was their last name. I thought they could just pick one. Such as Ms. Smith.....

I used to believe that when you broke a pencil at school, you'll have to pay a 1000 dollars. I believed that because a dude in first grade broke a pencil from school, and he blamed me for it and told me that it cost thousands of dollars. UGH!

I am canadian, and when I was 10, I moved to washington DC. everyday at the begining of school, we said the pledge of allegiance, and my dad made me believe that if you knew it by heart, you automatically became American. I actually started crying because I liked being a Canadian and didn't want to become an American. (I was and incredibly gulible child)

One day I came home and told my mother that I knew how to make adult trees. Unfortunately, she misunderstood me and thought that I had told her I learned how to make adultries. She was very relieved to know that I was just learning how to draw trees the adult way.

Up until I was actually in 1st grade I thought 1st graders and above only did homework all day with red lights instead of regular ones and the teachers would watch over you like a hawk.

When I was in elementary, I believed that the term " make-up work ",(the work you owe when you're absent), meant that I would Actually get to play with make-up. Beleive it or not, nothing came along to prove me otherwise until the sixth grade!

When I was in Kindergarten and First Grade, I used to think that pencil sharpeners "refilled" the lead in pencils. You stick the pencil in, the sharpener puts on a new point. But this idea was finally shattered for me in art class in First Grade, when I used colored pencils for the first time. I was amazed that the pencil sharpener also stocked COLORED lead! I was so excited that I went and found the teacher to announce my findings to her. She looked at me like I was crazy and explained to me how a pencil sharpener REALLY works. What a disillusioning moment....

I thought when the school fire drill happened, the school was actually set on fire....Wore my new raincoat for the first month for fear it would get burned during the fire drill and my mother would be angry.

I used to believe that teachers' first names were just 'Miss' or 'Mr'. I used to feel sorry for them that they had no proper name. I also thought that they lived in the walk-in cupboard. (That's why we weren't allowed in there.)

About 6 months ago (right before I started jr. High) I believed that people would shove me in a locker and when a teacher found out they would yell at me when I was the one who was the victim in that horrific event!!!

When I was in Kindegarden I used to think that first grade or any grade higher than it was like an arcade and I would be able to play arcade games all day.

( I was very dissapionted when I finally went to 1st grade)

when I was in grade school I missed school one day and had to stay home. My older sister told me later that day that it was too bad I didn't show up for school because Superman had showed up and landed on the roof.

when i was about 4 my grandpa would always take me to the school playgroud between breaks and i always thought that it was a prison (i suppose my guess was close enough!!!)

When I was in first grade, I believed that all the teachers were robots. I thought that all the teachers would teach the exact same thing at the exact same time in unison. And when one would cough, they would all cough. Then I wondered, if one was sick, would they all need substitutes?

In grade 1,2 and 3 I used to think that teachers lived at school and never went anywhere else so imagine my surprise when I saw my teacher at the grocery store. Lol!

In my first PE class at my primary school there was a boy that thought that to get changed for PE we had to take all our clothes off. Now all the pupils from my former class are traumatized!

In Elementary school I though one of the lines in the pledge went....."for Richardson, one nation, under god, with liberty and justice for all!"

Funny thing is....Richardson was the name of my Elementary school!
