i believed that teachers lived in school and had to learn a script in wot to teach us the next day. lmfao.

I used to believe…

when i was in preschool i belived that after the the school year was over the teachers went to heaven. i pictured them circling around a swirly-colored thing when they left to go to heaven.

I used to think that the pledge of allegience was '.. and to the republic where witches stand (one nation) under God...' I though that a country of witches lived in the space under God's chair!

I used to believe…

When I was young, we were always told in school to stop telling bad things o other students in class.
What the teacher would say was, 'You must stop bullying each other. I'm fed up with hearing "so and so" did this to me, or "so and so" did that.
Now there was always this one person in the year above me, and I didn't know her name, so I always assumed, even though it wasn't, that her name was "so and so".

This isn't my story, but my friends little sister's story. Anyway, she's about 9 years old and she thinks the end of the pledge goes something like this: "With liberty, and justice for all. You may be seated." She thinks that because when they say it over the intercom at school every morning they always say "you may be seated" at the end.

I used to think that my teachers lived at the school and slept in the closets. although I found out that this was not true when I was 6, up until last year i still believed that teachers did not have social lives. When my study hall teacher said that he was getting married, I blurted out, "Oh my gosh you have a love life!?!?!"

In pre school I heard my teachers on the phone occasionally and they would say something like, "Hi, this is Sue.."
I thought the teachers all had code names (as I had never heard a first name being used and it never occured to me that there could be any other name than their last name)

My teacher in first grade or kindergarten informed us that we had to take off our hats (Except the girls didn't have to because of some rule that women's hats went with their outfit so they didn't have to take off their hat.) This was in about 1990.
I believed this for a few years and, upon deciding whether or not to wear a hat that day, I would always decide, "No, I'll save this and wear it for the flag salute."

When I was little, my older siblings went to mixers. Mixers were when all the Catholic grade schools went into a gym and "mixed". I never asked what mixers were because I didn't want to be stupid.

So, up until I actually went to one, I believed mixers were evening cooking classes.

GREAT STUFF Up until about 2nd grade, i thought the pledge procceded something like this:
"I pledge alegence, to the frog, of theUnited States of America, and to the wee public, for witches hands, one nation, under God, invisible, with a little tea, and just rice for all!"

When i was in pre-school, about to go into grade school I was preparing myself for all the changes i might face. My biggest fear was that while in pre-school the teacher had you raise your hand, in grade school they might make you raise your foot. I practiced for the remander of preschool

When I was little, my teacher would always tell us that she had eyes behind her head. I really took it seriously! I always used to try and see them, but if I tryed too hard I knew her eyes would see me. So I would throw paper when she bent down so her eyes were facing up, and I would try and hit her 'behind her head' eyes. Oh well, I thought, man will I show my kids when I have eyes behind my head, when I grow up!!

I had an odd notion that Kindergarten was a school underneath a garden, and they made you eat veggies and drink tomato juice. I was frightened at the thought of going to a school like that...

When I was in preschool and they first tought us the pledge, I thought that the last line, "liberty and justice for all" was "liberty and justice frog." Was I wrong or what.

When I was young, everybody talked about how I was going to kindergarten. I imagined that they were going to take me to this farm place, with a big scarecrow and vegetables. So one day I asked my dad what the kinder garden grew.
