When I was younger, the primary school I attended became 'Grant Maintained'. This was at about the same time that a teaching assisstant called Grant joined the school. I thought that the school's title was referring to him and that he was really important.

When I was four, my mom wanted me to learn to tie my own shoes. She told me that I couldn't go to kindergarden without knowing how to tie my shoes. I was shocked when my neighbor also went to kindergarden without knowing how to tie his shoes.

When I was about 7 I thought that teachers lived at school year-round. My mates and I would dare each other to look in the teacher's lounge to see if there were beds in there. We never did. Then one day I had to take a note to the teacher's lounge and i discovered no beds. I figured they were in the closet.
When we got to ask any question we wanted to the first thing that came out of my mouth was "Where are the beds? Why don't you live at home with your husband?" My teacher had hystarics. During confrence time my teacher told my mum and dad about my question. They cracked like eggs. OMG!

My friend (who has numerous little speech impediments) used to believe that the line "for which it stands" actually said "for witches stand," and was deeply confused by the importance of witches in the US pledge. She held this belief until she was 16 years old, and finally saw the pledge in print. Unfortunately for her, she made the mistake of telling me, and I make fun of her every time I get the chance!

When I was 5 or 6 my teacher convinced us that she could read minds when ever she walked by I would blank my mind just in case she was listening to my thoughts.....This went on with every teacher I ever had and everyone I ever knew. when i was a little girl my grandpa said if anyone touches you or picks me up to slap them or hit them.SO when i was in pre-k my teacher picked me up and said she is soooooo cute and i slapped he right across her face and i ran down the hallway untill some teachers caught me
I go to the school that my mum used to attend, and was very supprised when she said some of the teachers were the same as when she went there (about 25 years before me). I then came up with a theory that they froze the teachers of then holidays and then defrosted them at the begginging of the new term.

In 2nd grade, I didn't do my homework, and had never missed an assignment before that, and I thought the teacher was going to send the police to arrest me, and that night I kept hoping that my teacher wouldn't show up with the police. She never did ,obviously.
