I used to believe…

When two people slept together the sperm crawled across the sheets from the man to the woman like a line of marching ants.

I used to believe…

Until I was about 11, I thought that you'd get pregnant every time you had sex, + so people would only do it 2 or 3 times in their lives, when they really wanted a child.
Then one night my Mother let me stay up late to watch a film, + there was a sex scene in it. I couldn't understand why anyone would just jump into doing a thing like that without even discussing whether they wanted a baby.

I used to believe…

As a child, and I don't know where this came from, I believed that a man and woman had to have sex for 9 hours in order to make a baby, and a woman wasn't really pregnant unless she had the telltale belly.

when i was in second grade i heard for the first time, someone mention condoms and for many years thought it was two velcro circles and they would both wear one on their private parts and would stick themselves together and go to sleep cuddling.

i have no idea where i got that!

I thought till I was about 13 that condoms were like plastic cylinders that were supposed to be put on the penis.

I used to believe…

As a child, I believed that you get pregnant by chance. Just like you get a pimple, you get pregnant. So I used to ask my Mom why she doesn't get pregnant.

I used to believe…

when i was thirteen( and still am) i believed that when u put ur head on the microwave when it was on that u couldnt have a baby when u were older.

I used to believe…

When I was 3 year old, I nthought my moms breasts were lights.

I used to believe…

When my sister was little she thought that when girls were born, they were born with a tiny, tiny baby all ready inside their stomachs ands as you grow, the baby grows until one day it ets to big to stay inside.

Imagine my mothers suprise when my 4 year-old sister told her she had a " tiny person growing in her tummy".

i used to believe that condoms where the size of contact lensenses. i did know know what they where for though.

I at one time believed that I was impregnated by the Lord. No lie, I seriously thought I was the new Mary. How utterly ridiculous. That's what happens to mis-informed, sheltered, late-blooming girls who were never told that periods aren't always regular and on time.

My friend told me about this one. One day my friend was talking to her neighbor, who was about 10 years old. During the conversation, the neighbor says, "I don't ever want to be a virgin, just like Brittany Spears!" Needless to say, my friend, as well as the girl's parents were shocked. We're still not sure what she thought she was saying, but she'll never live it down!

I was brought up calling my privates parts- "my privates".
So, image how I reacted at 4 years old when mom and dad told my sister and I that they were sending us to "Private School"! EEEWWW!

I used to believe…

When I was younger, I thought oral sex was just "Talking About Sex!" Although it's funny and goofy sounding, I am truly glad I lived a sheltered childhood.

I used to believe…

When I was little, I thought that after you got married, your babies were shipped to you in boxes with airholes.

I used to believe…

As a child adults kept complaining about how much sex there was. They were probably talking about on tv or something, but I didn't make the connection. To solve this problem I decided I would follow what I called the "6 to 6 Factor" which meant when I "grew up and got married" I would only have sex between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. That way it would be dark and no one would know, so adults couldn't complain.

I always thought if someone wanted a black baby they ate a watermelon seed and if someone wanted a white baby they ate a cantelope seed. If someone had twins that meant they accidentally swollowed more than one seed. I was ALWAYS very, very careful when eating either of these melons.

I used to believe…

when I was tiny I thought that before I was in my mum's tummy I was a twinkle in my dad's eye for a few years.

I used to believe…

When I was little, thanks to a children's book illustration, I thought that if a male and a female sat too close to each other, they would eventually have a baby. That was my explanation for how people unintentionally had children. This scared me, and I would not sit too close to a boy until I found out the truth.

I realized that this belief was not true when me and my older sister were watching the Lion King. At one point, when Nala and Simba were standing close to each other, I said to my sister, "Uh oh! They better not stand too close!" My sister asked me why, and I said, "Because they might accidentally have a baby, that's why!" My sister explained that that was not how someone had a baby.

I didn't find out how someone could have a baby until I was much older.
