I used to believe…

Well, can't say it's the most imaginative one, but I used to think a woman would get pregnant just by being around a man enough. This is because my dad used to read novels to me and my brother and just skip over any inappropriate scenes.

I used to believe…

While I always knew that babies came from mothers' wombs, and that boys had penises and girls had vaginas, I did not always know about sexual intercourse. I thought that babies were formed inside mommies' wombs when the priest at the wedding chanted magic words. And that sometimes the magic would escape and hit random women and that's how single mothers happened. And that people could not control the spacing of the babies- they stayed frozen there indefinitely until God decided it was time for one to be born. And that penises were strictly to distinguish boys from girls when they were born. And later I thought that sex was something very clinical people did in the bathroom standing up strictly to make babies.

I know better now.

When my mother was pregnant with my little sister (I was 5) I thought the "baby inside of Mommy" was a little doll sized version of a 5 year old kid and my mother's swollen belly was a little two story doll house inside with wallpaper and doll furniture and the whole bit.

when i was small i found a box of condoms in my parents room and because there was loads in it (must have been a 12pack or more, makes me sick to think of it!) i took one thinking they wouldnt notice and opened it to see what it was. i thought it was a balloon and my dad walked in and caught me trying to blow it up. then when i asked him what it was, he told me that men carried them incase they needed to go to the toilet and couldnt get to a bathroom! i think my initial balloon idea was better, he should have left it at that!

when i was small, after i realised what women had down below and kinda knew what it looked like, i still didnt really know what it was for! i thought it was a crack that their pee would leak from and that they had to use pads to soak it up. i also thought the pads stuck onto the vagina instead of onto the underwear!

i remember i started playing with myself at a very young age and, probably like a lot of guys, discovered masturbation before i was able to produce semen. i found it very addictive because it felt nice, but you could imagine my surprise when i DID start to produce that stuff, i didnt know what it was and i was afriad to do it again! all my friends in school eventually start talking about masturbation but never mentioned anything like that happening and i thought i was after breaking my penis by doing it too much! haha

when i was younger i use to belive you could get pregnant by having oral sex

I used to believe…

As embarrassing as this is... until I had my first child (I am now 25) I did not know that I had a "pee hole" and a "vaginal hole". I always though they were one and the same. I have never in my life had the sex talk with anyone, and all my friends are men.

To further my dismay; I just had my first orgasm a year ago! I have been with my husband since I was 14 so I guess I am still naive about this stuff ;p I wonder what else I will find out? LOL--

My cousin once told me that you bleed out of your armpits when you had your period and you had to put a big maxipad to keep the blood from leaking. then when i really started my mom told me it wasnt true.

i used to believe that "Douching"was just another word for masturbation. One day during football practice, one of my friends yelled out, " Hey Baker... did you douche last night?", I would always say something like "Yeah, Like 5 times!!"

it was only until I was 16 that i found out what a douche really was

when I was a child I thought that when a man and a woman got married, when the man kissed his bride the woman became pregnant. That's how I thought babies were made.

When i was little my mom told me that God send a flying goose to bring me to her......so 4 the longest time i belived that and everytime my cousin will tell me that it came from my moms stomach i would cry...

I discovered masturbation quite by accident when I was 6. My mom always told me to rinse my privates well when I bathed so I wouldn't get an infection from leaving soap behind. I rinsed so well with a hand shower one day, I had an orgasm! I had no idea what happened, but I believed if I kept doing it every day that my girl parts would grow into a penis. How lovely it would be to be able to pee standing up! I masturbated every day after that until I was in junior high school.

i used to think to make a man ejaculate the woman would have to squeeze his testicles. it never occured to me about unplanned pregnancies and that they just wouldnt do that part of it.

My ex-boyfriend (who was in his 20's) thought just because he had twin brothers, it was without question he would father only twins. And he thought pregnancy would happen every time a man and woman had sex. Never heard of a condom or the birth control pill, obviously.
