I'm 14, and I know all about condoms and stuff now , but when I was about 8 or 9 and i hadnt realt talked about it yet, I would read magazines that would always say use protection. Back then I didnt know what sex was, so i thought they meant keep your clothes on. i thought this because i thought kissing was really having sex.

Until I was about 11, I didn't know what oral sex was. I knew that there was a toothbrush company called "Oral-B" I thought that because the toothbrush cleaned your mouth, oral meant clean and therefore oral sex was clean sex.

One day in middle school I was in science class and the teacher was randomly calling on people to read aloud from a book the class was reading together. He called on me and I began reading. When I came to the word "organism" I accidentally said "orgasm." I was so embarrassed - I just wanted to crawl under a rock and hide!

I used to believe that it wasn't sex that caused babies, but marriage - two people had to get married before they had children. I thought that while couples were just going out and not married, they couldn't have kids, but once you were married, you would just magically get pregnant. Probably a testament to how sheltered an upbringing I had.

I don't know why, but when I was 10 years old, and didn't know what sex exactly was, I pictured it as a girl in her underwear and a bra doing a body roll like in a dance. I thought that if a man and a woman did this together at the exact same time, they were having sex. And if they touched torsos, the woman would be pregnant.

Later that year, I learned what it really was. I was close, right?

I used to think that as soon as you got your period then you would automaticly have a baby. I don't know how i came up to that belief but i thought that since i first knew abot periods (5) and the year be4 i got my period (11) oops. I am 12 now. he he

A few years ago my brother, who is 7 years younger than me and was about 10 at the time, found my tampons and came running in to ask me what they were. Here is how the conversation went:

My brother - Hey, what's a tampon?
Me - What do you think it is?
My brother - (sniggering) Female condoms

When I started my periods at the age of 10 I didn't know very much about them as my parents had never really discussed it with me. I did know, however, that periods come once a month, so I assumed every period I had for the rest of my life would arrive on exactly the same day each month.

i was one of those horrid scab picking kids. before i figured out the reality of the whole menstral thing, i thought women could make the whole thing go away if they picked a scab and bled from somewhere else. kinda like when people say they'll make you forget all about one pain by creating another for you (like stepping on your toe).

when I was little I believed when a woman would lose her virgintiy, a man would actually put his penis in your pee-hole. i thought this up until I was about 8. before that i swore to myself that i would never have sex. i also thought that if you really did have sex, that pee would just, like fall out insted of drip out.
