I always thought kissing would make a baby in your stomach because I thought the spit would mix and make something. Don't ask..I believed that until the 5th grade.

I used to belive that no-one in my class had got the period.
Because it still had not happend that a girl suddenly stood up looking terrified , and then runned out of the classroom.
And there were a lot of blood on her chair..

In elementary school we'd given oral reports standing in front of the class. I didn't know what oral meant so I assumed it meant "to stand." When I first heard about oral sex I believed it meant "to have sex standing up." I believed this for many years.

When i was in preschool and didn't know about the birds and the bees yet, i thought a woman had a baby simply by being in love. I got my first crush on a little boy, and daydreamed about us discovering our love for each other when i'd become pregnant.

When I was about 8 me and my friend watched the movie Coneheads, in one of the scenes one of the coneheads pulls out a package of condoms and starts chewing on one. my friend then asked me what that was that he was chewing on, me knowing quite abit for my age told him it was a condom. he then asked me what a condom was, i wouldnt tell him because i found it awkward, we then had a moment of silence and suddenly he burst out and said
"i know what a condom is" i said
"what is it then?"
He said,
"its for old men to put on their penis' so they dont pee themselves"
me, just wanting to end the conversation said,
"yeah thats right"
He then ran to his parents and yelled out,
"I know what a condom is!"
...his parents loved me from that moment on

I used think a dildo was a type of bird. I told my friends that when they were talking about dildos. Half of my friends gave shocking expressions whie the other half of my friends were cracking up laughing. Then one of them explained to me what it really was. They mocked me about that for mounths. I mean, dosn't dildo sound more like a bird name, like similar to "dodo". I was 14 at the time, too.

I was in graduate school before I realize I'd been circumcised. I always thought the glans (or head) was what got cut off, so since mine was still there, I thought I had escaped the knife. It was only when I took an anatomy-related class in grad school that I learned the truth (I comped out of undergrad biology). I am extremely intelligent and had most of my tuition paid by private and State scholarships and fellowships, but this one misconception persisted well into my adult life.

I was always told that a baby comes from people sleeping together. When our pet dog became pregant I was really afraid that the puppies would be born with my face. After all I "slept" (as in ..zzzz) with our dog many times.

When I was in primary school a friend told me that the lady teachers had different toilets to us because they got these strange things called "pyramids".

I used to believe…

ok.. so when my brother and I were younger, we'd play "pirates" - we had a couple of those cool flintlock pistols that we got at Mouseschwitz (Disneyland).. however, we were missing one important piece to the costume - telescopes!! All pirates needed telescopes. Well, "luckily" for us, mom was being visited by Aunt Flo, and had some spare "telescopes" in the trash!! (tampax applicators) - thinking nothing (and knowing no better) I had my brother take them out of the trash (so I wouldn't be in trouble for digging in the trash) and away we went...
Our mom saw us using them (this was well after a few months worth of use), and stopped us... I'd forgotten about the incident until sex education. Then the (embarassing) memories came back. Needless to say, I didn't ask the instructor what girls did with their "telescopes" during their time of month.

Though this isn't my belief per se, when my daughter was younger (3 at the time) , I had to take her to the bathroom. Well, after she went, I had to go as well (hell, I think my bladder is smaller than hers!). As I was squatting in the stall to go, she points directly at me and exclaims, in a raised voice, "Dad!! You have a *handle* on your BUTT!!!" ... this was at a Costco, which has no ceiling and rather decent acoustics.... all I could say was "Yes, yes I do" and exit the bathroom as quickly (of course washing both hers and my hands)
