I used to think condoms were just the rim and then elastic latex. I didn't know it had the shape of a penis so I always wondered how men kept condoms on their penises. I thought there was some latch that you hook onto yourself to keep it up.

I used to believe that when women got thier period they bled from their nipples and that's why women would wear bras, I also thought sex involved putting a long tube down your throat and having a doctor put chicken eggs into your stomach, they would magically turn to babies

when I was little we went to visit our cousins who lived in amsterdam and I saw lots of women in tents(we got lost one morning in the red light district) and I asked what they were doing and my mother replied that they were selling their bodies for money, and up until I was 10 I thought that prostitution was when you get a doctor to cut off your body parts and give sew them onto someone else who got sick or lost theirs in an accident or something, and I never understood how the police and government could be so evil as to ban prostitution.

My parents never taught me how babies were made, so I picked up from others that babies are made when two people fall in love. In 6th grade I had my first crush on a boy and thought I was in love, so therefore I must have gotten pregnant. Thinking I was pregnant, I was very scared of what my parents would think and kept checking the mirror to see if my belly was growing!

I used to believe…

My friend got her period in fourth grade, before any of us ever got The Talk about it. She saw blood in her panties, took it out after school and washed it herself, crying all the while because she thought she was dying.

I was so excited to get my period, because it meant I was going to be a grown up soon. Of course, I also thought people only got their periods ONCE in their lives and then that was it.

Now I understand why there are so many commercials selling pads.

I used to think that pads were for women who wet their pants and that women used bras because sometimes their breasts would leak milk. It never really made sense...

I used to believe that condoms were supposed to go over the momma's breasts after childbirth since they always have milk leaking all over the place. Ya, I was about 9 or 10. Boy was I wrong.

I used to believe…

For some reason I believed that when a woman was about to have a baby that somehow, and I didn't know how, that the doctor's put a zipper on the mom's belly and then would unzip her and take the baby out.

I used to believe…

When I was little, I beleived that after a certain age if a woman slept in the same bed as a man, she would regularly get pregnant. About every two years or so. So when my cousin told me that her mom took a pill to make the babies stop coming, I thought there's no way some little pill is going to keep a baby from popping out!
