When I was about 4 or 5, I asked my parents where babies came from. My mom and dad, holding hands, smiled at each other and my mom said, "well, it takes a man and a woman." That's all she said! From then on (well, until I was about 10), I believed that after a man and a woman got married, they learned this special technique of putting their hands together. And, if they did this handshake/maneuver correctly, the woman would automatically become pregnant.

when i was little i used to think masterbation meant to buy big bait since i heard it on TV and didn't know what it was. when i walked in on my brother one day he was naked doing something to his penis. he said he was masterbating but i said he wasn't because it was something else. then he explained everything and then i knew what it was

This is actually something my little brother thought when he was 5 or 6 - He had need pads and tampons in the bathroom at home, but was too embarassed to ask my mom what they were for. He thought that when a girl reached a certain age that she couldn't control her bladder anymore, and that's what all that stuff was for. My brother thought this for YEARS until he found out otherwise!

My mother told me that every woman has a box inside where babies grow. For several years I thought I had a wooden box inside me.
i used to think that tampons were for women when they would pee so that it wouldnt go everywhere, cause ive heard stories about how woman would try to pee standing up and it would go everywhere, it wasnt until a few years later when i think i was 11 when i took one and brought it into the kitchen where my parents were and said aloud "what is this thing?" then by dad told me what they were REALLY for, and i was like speachless lol
I used to think that when a man & woman kissed on the lips, the woman became pregnant, generally at the end of their wedding. So one night, when I was about 6, my dad tucked me in & kissed me good-night.....and that night, he happened to kiss me on the lips! So I was worried for awhile that I was pregnant...but then I got a new Barbie and forgot about being "pregnant"!! :)

When I was younger I learned about tampons. Well, I can't really say I learned much about them... Actually, I was quite disgusted with anyone who used them. You see, I knew about sex and everything, and I knew the place where a man's 'tool' is put, was the same as a tampon. I also believed that a tampon was just a plastic tube, ((Due to the plastic tube it's in.)) And since, you never see the rest of the tampon after use, I had nothing to argue against me.
So, due to my knowledge, and lack of knowledge, I believed that a tampon was a plastic tube that was insterted into a femaale and filled with blood during her perion. I also believed, due to what I believed a tampon was, that it doubled as a pleasure device. ((Like a dildo))
Both me and my friend believed this.
Boy did I feel stupid when I found out how they really worked...
On a related note. I know someone at my school who put a tampon in for the irst time without reading the instructions or having someone tell them about it, and so she didn't take the plastic part out. ^^;
Oh well. Live and learn, no?
I used to think a sex changed required two people, a guy and a girl, so you could only have one if you and the guy really liked each other, enough to trade parts.
After that, it was o.k. to have sex with each other, because it was your own part.
I was in grade two when I thought this, and I just thought sex was a priviledge, like being able to ride in the front seat of a car.
I thought one kiss will cause pregnancy. I kissed my friend just once on the bus in 1st grade then I thought I was pregnant! I spent several hours figuring out how to tell my parents.

I used to believe that once a girl started getting her period, she would get it everyday for the rest of her life.

When I was in elementary school, they gave us a very very basic sex ed class. This included labeling anatomical diagrams. This did not include the concept of an erection. Thus, it was a few years before I realized that it didn't require you to be in a position that shoved your feet in each other's faces.

i used to think that babies were born at any time and without sex.and that the momma would just have babies...lol
i took a sex ed class and i guess the teacher didnt explain it very well. i thought the the sperm crawled out of the boy and into the girl. so i never sat near a boy because his sperm might crawl into me and make me pregnant.
I thought that sex was pronounced 'sax' for some reason. One day a friend of mine wanted to annoy me, and started yelling 'SAX!' at the top of his lungs. I was really embarressed, so I started yelling to drown him out so my mom wouldn't hear.

My friend and i are both 15 and she has a sister one year younger. One day we were with our other two girlfriends and our gay guy friend and we (for some reason I can't remember) were talking about tampons. My friend suddenly starts laughing and when we ask her why she says, "When my sister was really little she walked in on my mom in the bathroom, and ran out coming to ask me if she was going to grow a string like mommy." KLind of gross, but still funny!
I believed until I was about seven that, when a woman reached a certain age, she automatically had a baby. I wasn't sure I wanted children, so I used to constantly ask my mom, "How can I not have a baby when I grow up?"
She thought I was asking about birth control, so the answer was always, "I'll tell you when you're older."
I remember taking a bath with my sister who is 2 years younger than me. I told her that my penis had grown out of me and demonstrated for her how, pushing it in and letting it come out. I told her she would grow one soon.

I didn't know how tampons were used. I always thought they sat in the underwear, just like a pad. It never made sense to me.

When I was 14 my younger sister age 7 asked my Mom why she had a big belly. My Mom replied that she was pregnant. My little sister than ran up to my Dad, who is overweight, and asked "How many babies are you going to have?" Needless to say my Dad wasn't to thrilled with the question. I ran to my room and laughed my ass off.

When I was little, I saw "Look who's talking" on TV. Because it was edited, the only thing they showed for the sex scene was john touching kristie's knee. For the longest time after that I thought that if I touched a girl's knee, I would get her pregnant. Just goes to show you, you shouldn't censor movies on TV (and how dumb of a kid I was)
