I know this one is a lot like the "Brides become pregnant at the wedding" one, but is sorta different. Even instants right before my mom told me the truth, I used to believe that women could only become pregnant if they were married and really wished it or prayed for it. Ah... I want my innocence back!

When I was little, I used to believe that once a couple got married, they sat down together and prayed for however many children they wanted and then the wife randomly got pregnant until they had all their babies. Because of this, I wondered how Atheists had babies.

When I was about 5 going on 6 my Mom had my little brother, so I asked her where did he come from, well being so young she told me he was a gift from God, and that she prayed really hard. So until I was old enough to truly understand, I used to believe that all you had to do was go to the hospital and pray to have a baby and you would get one. Back then I always wondered why she always prayed for boys, I don't have any sisters.
I used to believe babies were born through your bellybutton and thats why giving birth hurt so much.

I used to believe that as soon as a woman got married, she automatically got pregnant, and that the man putting the ring on her finger was what caused the baby to be conceived, so if the couple wanted another baby, the man would have to buy the woman another magic ring and put it on her and then she'd be pregnant.

I used to stay away from the lake from my house because I believed that the tadpoles would get me pregnant.
I used to believe that people made babies by making out, and never dreamed of a penis going anywhere near a vagina.

When I was younger, I thought women HAD to have a baby. There was no way of stopping it, despite abortion. I just thought it came naturally...
I didn't even know it took two to create a baby!

I used to think that testicles were sacks of pee, and a man squeezed them in order to "go".
I am a triplet, and my parents had told us pretty early where babies come from. So when I was very little, I used to believe, even though I couldn't remember it anymore, that inside my mother's stomach it was like in a red cave with tiny furniture. I though that my sibblings and I had lived in there until it got so cramped that the doctors took us out.

Even though my mom told me how babies were made when I was little, she didn't give me enough info. I thought that people never actually have sex to have a baby. They just sleep and the sperm travel from the guy's body, traverse the bedsheets, and gets inside the woman's body by some kind of magical process.
Needless to say, I was very traumatized when I found out that you needed to do to get pregnant...
I used to believe that animal tails were the same as human penises. Not in determining gender, but in that I thought animals peed out of the tips of their tails. (So I guess I thought a human penis was a tail)

Up until about three years ago (I'm 21) I used to think that the "Mile High Club" was an actual, physical club that you could join to have sex on airplanes. It had it's own airline system and everything. Turns out it's just illegal sex in public. Who knew?

When I was little I used to believe that when people kissed, the girl would get pregnant. So every time I watched a movie with my parents and someone in the movie got kissed I'd yell "She's gonna have a baby now!"
