As a little girl I was convinced that babies had the choice of being born from their mummy's tummy buttons or their bottoms. I told everyone I had emerged from my mum's tummy button, and was devastated when I learned the truth!!

in Look Who's Talking Two, i wondered what the scene at the beginning of the parents doing it was. my parents told me that the sperm were fish swimming in the sea. it made perfect sense when i was five. and last week, 11 years later, i saw it on cable and started watching it and got really freaked out when i realized that those weren't fish... liars

My mother told me that the way you a girl got pregnant was to be REALLY CLOSE to a boy. I knew that it was considered bad to be pregnant if you were not married. So I used to try to walk as far away from my brother as possible when we were going anywhere together.

When I was about 6, I asked my Mum when people had babies, and she answered "when they get married". For quite some time after that I thought that babies appeared from nowhere the minute you were married - sex, pregnancy and childbirth were non-existent! Things appeared so much simpler in childhood!

a friend of mine didnt know that men and woen had different "equipment" and one day she walked into her parents room, and her dad was in his underwear, so she walks over to her dad, grabs his

hall of fame

i thought sperm came out of a mans penis when they were sleeping and the sperm just walked into a womens vagina.

I remember this only vaguely, but my mum recently filled in the gaps in the story. When I was about 6 I asked how babies got into a mummy's tummy. She decided it was time for me to know, so she asked me " you've seen both Mummy and Daddy with no clothes on when we are in the shower...what's different about each of us?" I thought for a while and answered " Mummy wears a shower hat and Daddy doesn't." My mum decided perhaps I wasn't ready to be told after all!

For the longest time I was confused about where the clitorous is. I remember telling a friend that my clitorous wasn't sensitive, the part i pee out of is. Luckily my friend didn't laugh too hard, and explained that I had the two confused.

My dad showed me the movie Alien when I was really little and I thought from then on that babies were born that way. Like, the mother's stomach got bigger and bigger until finally it ripped open and the baby came out. I didn't learn otherwise until one day I asked my mom why there were no scars on her tummy "from the baby bursting out"

I used to believe…

When I was 12 and started my period, I discovered it when I went to use the restroom. Mom had already had "The Talk" with me, so I knew what it was. However, I didn't know that I would bleed for days and days. I thought you just bled once, and you were done for the month. Oh, how I wish that were true!

Even at a young age, I understood that some older adults had to use diapers. So when I saw advertisements on TV for maxi pads, I decided they must be another kind of adult diaper--especially since the ads say they help keep "you fresh and dry"!

I used to believe that kissing was how a woman got pregnant. But, since an eskimo kiss is with your nose, I would ask my parents how eskimos can have babies.
