When I was in first grade- I vividly remember announcing to the teacher and the entire first grade class that I had a "Virginia" (not a "Vagina") and my mommy said all the girls had "Virginia's" like I did. You should have seen the teachers face.

When I was about 12, I believed that boys had periods too. I read in a Child
Craft book about boys and masturbation.
I thought that girls periods was called Menstruation; and they called what the boys had masturbation.
I told all my friends this. I was so embarrassed
I'd once asked my dad what sperm was and he'd said 'It's the milk that men make'. So when my mom was breastfeeding my little sister, I asked her why she didn't use sperm instead. I said it was injust that women had to give their milk and men didn't.

Once I saw on TV a premature baby all hooked up on tubes. This led me to believe that babies were manufactured in hospitals and to get one you simple had to place an order.

When I was younger (probably 7 or 8) we didn't know what condoms were. So when my friends and I found a couple used ones in the alley behind their house, we took them.
I vividly recall my friend blowing one of them up like a balloon. We also stretched another one over a pop bottle.
I was disgusted when I learned what a condom was a few years later.

When I was in 1st grade, everyone thought that a french kiss was when someone kissed your hand.
So when a boy at school told me to close my eyes and kissed my hand, I thought that he had "french-kissed" me.
When my mom came to get me from daycare that day, I told her "Mommy a boy french-kissed me today"
You can imagine her reaction.

When my mom was pregnant with my sister,(I think) my mom took me to this class of some sort at the hospitalto explain to young siblings where the baby would develop. I don't remember much except the dolls, which were cloth and had velcro pouches that held smaller dolls like pregnant women.
Whether I wasn't paying attention, or they just didn't tell much, I don't know, but because of that I thought for a pretty long time that women became pregnant pretty much at random, which is why women all have different numbers, and some don't have any, even if they want them. The fathers were just the women's husbands, which also explained single moms.

For a short while, when I was about 6 or 7, my friends and I thought that all girls were born pregnant. Then, when we got married, the baby would be born. We would push our bikes around instead of riding in case we might hurt the fetus.

Around 4 years Old I asked my mom THE question (What is sex?). To avoid having to explain the whole birds and the bees concept to such a young mind she simply put it off as "It's something that mommies and daddies do". This answer suited me just fine and I went along my way, though somewhere along the line I started thinking that "sex" was just another name for "kissing" since I seen MY mommy and daddy do that all the time.
Imagine my mom & dad's shock when I came home in kidnergarten and announced, "OoOoh!! I had sex today on the bus with Rusty and I think everyone saw me!!"

When I was about 10 or 11 I was at my best friends house and her friend from down the street came over to play for a while.Well, My friends brother came in the room where we were playing and she said something to him that made him mad an he punched her in the stomach an instead of crying or telling she just looked at him and said "You know what happens if you do that!!" Me,My friend and her brother had NO clue what she ment,So after he left we asked her and she thought you had a dozen eggs in your stomach and could could only be hit in the stomach 12 times and if you was hit more you couldnt have babies or your period!

At an early age - 4 - I knew babies came from inside the mother. How they got out was a puzzle. I finally decided moms must have a zipper in their sides for this.
Some years later, I realized that was silly, and concluded there was only one logical place of exit...the butt.
Not until I was about 13 or so did I learn the truth in a school hygiene class. I still think zippers would be easier ;)

When I was 9y.o. I found an extra large clear balloon in a foil packet in my parents bedroom and thought I'd show off my brilliant find to everyone on my school bus.
Sure enough my friends were impressed until some 12y.o. told everyone on the bus what it really was. I was so embarassed, got off the bus crying and ran home.
To make matters worse the next day the headmaster took the 12yo boy out of class to apologise to me, HOW EMBARASSING AGAIN!!!
I used to think that in order for women to breastfeed, they would have to go to the doctor who would poke a tiny hole in their nipples to let the milk come out... I was so stressed about having to go thru that when I got older!!!
i used to believe that everyone had the same private parts until they were 18 and that when a boy turned 18 the little flap of skin that you pee out of turned into a penis. i was so terrified that i was actually a boy and would grow a penis.
I was 3 when my younger sister was born. My mother had a ceserean (sp?) and showed me the scar/stitches from it. Naturally, this led me to believe that when a baby was ready to be born, it pushed it's way out of it's mother's stomach, ripping her skin on the way, and that's why it hurt so much. I believed this until I was about 10 and learned how babies are really born... probably almost as painful though ;)

When I was about nine, I saw this Star Trek episode where Troy got pregnant when she was sleeping in her bed and this light came out of the sky and just popped into her body and she kind of moaned when it happened. I was terrified this would happen to me so I always kept the covers tucked in and completely covering my feet. Whenever I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night, I thought maybe it was because the light had somehow got through my covers and I was going to have a baby. It wasn't until I was older that I learned it was actually Jean-Luc Picard that got you pregnant.
