When babies were born, I used to believe that the only way to tell if it was a boy or girl was to look at the ears. The girls had holes in their ears, the boys didn't.
I used to believe that the number of kids you had was directly proportional to the length of your signature on the marriage papers. I also thought that after you got married, magical rainbow sparks would fly around the couple, magically instilling the ability to get pregnant in the wife

One day my friends came to school giggling. I asked her why and she answered "...I know what sex is". I never heard of that word before, so I asked her what it was. She replied that is was when people get naked and then hug and kiss each other. I was only 6 and my brother 2. My mother would bath us together. I would kiss him, when i giggled I when I splashed him with water. When my mother told up to pose for a picture I would hug him. For the next 1 year I went around telling everyone I had sex with my brother....

I thought you could get pregnant from sitting on a boy's bed. So all thoughout 3rd grade I was sure I was pregnant and I cried everyday, because I was too embaressed to tell anyone. It wasn't until I realized after months my abdomen hadn't grown that I wasn't pregnant.

When I noticed my mother's Cesarian scar and asked her about it she told me that was where the doctors cut her open to take me out but didn't tell me that wasn't how babies were usually born. I had also been told that it was once common for women to die during childbirth. Based on these pieces of information I decided that natural childbirth involved the baby clawing and chewing its way out of its mother, causing lots of damage to her and probably even killing her because it was just a baby and didn't know what it was doing, but this didn't often happen any more because doctors would almost always surgically remove the baby before it did that.

Until I was about 10 or 11, I thought babies were born out of belly buttons. I believed that was why pregnant women had such big belly buttons...so that it would be big enough for the baby to just pop out of when it was ready.

When I was really young, I believed a woman got pregnant from the kiss at the wedding, and that after that kiss, they could pick and choose when and how many kids they wanted.
A few years later, my older brother told me that you got pregnant from 'sex', which was when a man and a woman slept together. I had see this on a movie before, so I thought they had to sleep together with the man on top all night long, which seemed really unfair to me because the man was so much bigger.
I use to believe a women got pregnant simply by laying naked next to a man in bed. I don't know how or why I came to this idea.
