I used to believe…
Once, as a teenager I had my cousins over. As they were snooping in my room they found a few condoms I had picked up from a concert earlier in the year. My 9 year old cousin looked at it puzzlingly and said " OH, I know what these are! These are those wee-wee protectors aren't they? To hold in the white stuff?" I couldn't help but laugh.
I used to think babies came from beer stores, and they rolled out on the rolly thing. I also used to think you grew up to be an animal, I always wanted to be a dog.

when i was a little girl my mom told me that a period was when a woman cut her thumb each month. boy was i surprised when we watched "the video"!!!!!
I used to believe that a woman would have her baby through her belly button!
I was upset when I found out after birth, a belly button wasn't useful!
I had a teenage cousin that I thought was the coolest guy in the world. He had a poster on the back of his door showing a woman in a nurses uniform holding an unrolled condom (I think it was an ad poster to convince people to use condoms).
Anyway, my mother is a nurse and I immediately thought that to use a condom it had to be put on you by a nurse!

WHEN I WAS ABOUT SIX, I WENT INTO THE BATHROOM, AND SAW MY DADS WILLY WHEN HE WAS LYING IN BATH, I WENT CRYING TO MY MUM SAYING "I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO FIT IT DOWN THERE" THINKING IT WOULD GROW AND NOT ME.
THANKFULLY YAERS LATER I'M NOW IN PROPORTION.!!!

Once my friend and my brother where in our town's public swimming pool and my brother found a condom floating around. We thought it was a balloon but when our friend's father saw my brother holding it he freaked out and said to stop touching it. We aske what it was but he told us to ask our parents which we never did. Were about 10 and decided against asking mom since we figured it had to be bad due to the reaction from my friend's dad.
I used to think that you had to physically hold the baby in with your muscles. So, when you are holding your pee, then you get to the toilet, you have to let go right? Well, I couldn't figure out how they managed to go to the bathroom without dropping the baby in.
Also, my mother had a miscarriage before me, and I pondered whether this was what had happened

This isn't about myself, but I know these girls are going to be in shock pretty soon.
I was in the girl's washroom in 8th grade and as I was leaving these 7th grade girls pointed into a stall and said to me "EWW! There's a tampon in there!" I looked in and there was the paper that you peel off the sticky side of a pad.
I guess the sex ed we took that year really failed them! They are in for a suprise once they see what they really are.

When I was little, my mother was explaining how baby's grew inside a little sac (the uterus) until they were ready to come out. I thought that when babies were born, they came out in a little sac, like one that looks like a grocery bag. I always asked my mom "so do they throw away the bag after?"
I used to think that kids just appeared after people got married... Boy, was I wrong!

When I was a little boy, I found my mother's tampons and asked what they were for. She wouldn't tell me, so I decided to try and figure it out by myself.
I noticed that they had a nice convenient loop of string on one end. Perfect for hanging them on doorknobs, so I figured that was what the string was for. I figured that since they hung on doorknobs that the tampons themselves must be fire protectors, so that if the house caught fire, the tampon would prevent the fire from entering that room. My mom got mad and kept removing them from the doorknobs, but still wouldn't tell me what they were for.

When I was in elementary school, I learned from a classmate that gay people are men who have sex with each other. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how that worked and somehow came to the conclusion that it involved dueling with penises. I didn't learn of my error until well into middle school, and to this day when I think of gay people penis dueling is the first thing that jumps to my mind.

When I was younger, I used to think men's 'balls' were two separate areas of skin, with nothing connecting them in the middle. I knew they hung down. But I thought the bottom parts were as big as tennis balls and there was no connecting skin in between.

I used to believe oral sex was sharing toothbrushes. And you could get some nasty diseases from that! So much for interpreting the newspaper at a young age:)

If someone stuck his tongue inside your mouth (french kissing) you got preggie!!
I was 12 years old at the time......and that was back in 1960. I got frenched kissed by a boy in the Tunnel of Love at an amusement park. I was so upset. Eventually through much prodding, I finally told my mother and blurted out "I'm pregnant!"
It was a different time - different era and sex was spoken in whispers. Even parents didn't say much to their kids about sex. My how things have changed - and I love it!!
