I used to believe…

In 6th grade, I thought that once you got your period, you'd have it forever!!!! 24/7

I thought that when I was masturbating, I was having oral sex with my pillow! You see...I used to think oral sex was having sex with your clothes on. (from jeans to as little as underwear) I remember reading magazine articles about "oral sex" vs "intercourse" and they said you couldn't get pregnant but you could still get stds from oral sex. This confused me because I thought even with underwear on, sperm could get inside you and get you pregnant. And if wearing your underwear and having sex can give you STDS, why couldn't it get you pregnant?

I used to think all penises were the size of baby carrots. When I walked in on my dad in the shower, I was shocked to see that there was this HUUUUUGE banana like shape between his legs. Instead of realizing that grown men's dick's are larger than a kids, I just thought my dad had a problem.

I used to believe as a kid that when your Mum got pregnant, the baby grew in her body standing upright. eg: The baby's legs grew in the Mother's legs and it's arms grew in the mother's Arms.

What makes it worse, I used to think that the baby could see out of the mother's eyes and that's how it knew where it's home and family was.... lol

according to my young mind (until 10y/o?)A woman became pregnant by a men urinating in her during sex...phew, I'm glad that's NOT the way it works!

I used to believe…

When I was tiny (maybe 4) I used to think that people got pregnant by sneezing. They had to have this special powder that made them sneeze, though, which is why only women got pregnant, because nobody would give the powder to men or kids. I have no idea where I got that one...

When I was in 7th grade, I was in my best friend's mother's car with my best friend Kelsea (also in 7th grade) and her brother Alex. Kelsea was nervous about taking the sex-education class that would be coming in a week or two and asked her mom if it's true that they teach you to put a condom on a banana. Her mom explianed that they probably don't and that it was just something that you see in movies. About 5 minutes later, when we were well off the subject, 8 year old Alex asked "mom, what's a "condomon"?". It was hilarious... we laugh about it to this day!

When i was a toddler, i would ask my mom and dad to buy a baby in the hospital. One day they come home and said to me, "they ran out of babies, they will make more later".

We havent had much prOn around when i was a kid, i never seen how people do it until i was like 13, and nether my friends, so we had this BIG argument about how many holes do girls have, and about 70% of my friends were saing that there 3 holes, because that made sense, 1 to pee, 2 to poop and 3 to give birth, so we called prostitute service, (it was in Russia, so we had couple phone#) and asked, the girl on the phone just laughed at us, we knew that it was a stupid question, but nobody really knew the for sure, and had any ways of prooving, we asked girls and some didnt even know themselvs

I used to believe that a man and a woman made babies by the man peeing in the woman.

I had always bathed with my brother and was well aware that his bum and mine were different, although for me the biggest difference between us, the one that marked him as male and me as female, was that his hair was short while mine was long. Ok. However I began to wonder how doctors and nurses and what-have-you could tell what babies were boys and which were girls at birth, when both had short hair. Surely they didnt look at their bums?

Unlike myself woth my own children, my mother was very coy about explaining anything period related. I remember her unpacking the shopping one day and spotting a pack of sannies. I asked her what they were, she didnt answer so I asked her if they were disposable nappes, (similar sized packet in the early '80s),she said they were. This I had to think about as my younger brother was well out of nappies and had only ever used disposables on holiday anyway. So I decided that the only person who could be wearing the nappies was my dad. I asked my mum and again she agreed, (my dad has always been the butt of the jokes on my family), and naturally, as a trusting and innocent 7-year-old, I believed her.

Next day I went in to school and stood up at 'news time' and announced to the claas that my mum was putting my dad back in nappies.

I watched a lot of cartoons as a kid, and some of the older cartoons make references to "rubbers." I always thought they meant rubber galoshes, so when a cousin finally explained that men wore rubbers during sex, I couldn't help but wonder what use galoshes were.

I used to believe that pads were a substitute for pantiliners. Why? I don't know why. All I know is that I used to waste them by putting them on, when I didn't even need them.

The next day i was with my brother and his friends and i said something about seeing him naked. his friends asked me what it looked like and i said it looked like a peanut

Because on TV, couples slept together and then had babies, I figured something jumped through the air from the man to the woman. Consequently, on an overnight train trip I refused to go to sleep! That's how my Mom found out about my beliefs and "filled me in".
