When i was little, I had a friend over. Out of no where, sah asks my mom how babies came out of a mommy. Well, my mother knowing it wasn't her job to tell her the WHOLE story simple said that they came out of the belly botton. Until about 4th grade, my friend never knew the truth!

When my brother was 3 or 4, (I would've been 6 or 7) I walked into the living room to find him crying his eyes out... It was *i think* his first erection, and he pulled his waistband out and showed me.. he said "I think I'm sick" and I said... maybe it's just an infection."

I used to believe that in order for a couple to have a baby, they had to have sex exactly six times. So, for instance, a woman with three kids had only had sex 18 times!

My bedroom and my parents' bedroom shared a wall and I could hear whatever they watched on TV. One night they watched a special on PBS about breast cancer. No big deal, except that I was eleven and just hitting puberty and for about six months I was certain that those little lumps were cancerous tumors.

It took a nice little diagram of breast development to convince me that I was wrong.

When I was in the fifth grade my friends and I had a boy in our class convinced that tampons were a kind of candy and he beleived us. We even told him there were special blood flavoured ones for halloween! He thought that was the coolest thing ever!

When I was in grade 5 a friend of mine had overheard the boys discussing what colour girls period blood was. They concluded that it was black since boys sprem was white and of course boys and girls are opposites!

When I was in the fourth grade or so a friend and I were in a very serious discussion about how a baby was born. It was very confusing since we knew the baby grew in the mothers stomach and came out between her legs. We concluded that the baby had to pass through her entire small and large intenstine and that was why labours were so long and painful. But there was also the matter of the baby being digested while being born. I then realized that the baby grew in the mothers womb and that was what protected it from being hurt from stomach acid and what not!

When my parents first told me about the birds and the bees they used veyr scientific language. So they said, "The man plants the seed within the woman." I thought the seed was just any old seed so one day when I found a cotton seed I handed it to my dad and asked him to put it into my mom's bellybutton so that I could have a sibling. It took me a couple of years to find out the "real story" and it wasn't as pretty.

Even though I'm a girl, for a while I didn't know anything about female genitals. I thought there was nothing down there except one hole in the front for peeing, and another hole in the back for pooing. Then I learned where babies come from and revised my theory to include three holes. But I thought there were three holes, some hair at the front, and that's it, and I couldn't imagine why anyone would find female genitals interesting to look at.

I didn't know a thing about labia, but one day I discovered my own labia and clitoral hood. Since female genitals are nothing but a row of holes, I assumed that my labia were going to grow into testicles and my clitoral hood was going to grow into a penis and I would turn into a boy. I figured this is why my parents kept making me dress in pants and running shoes instead of dressing girly like I wanted to.

I remember in 3rd grade a boy brought a condom to school and was caught by the teacher. I asked my friend later, "what is a condom?" He told me and a group of people it was a small building. :|

When I was in 2nd grade, I heard somewhere that Viagra was when men had to get a vein removed in their chest and that they could die from the surgery. I told all my friends that were boys about this and some of them started wishing they were girls. Then one time I asked my teacher, Ms. Larsen, why men had to have Viagra and what caused Viagra. I got in trouble and was very confused.

When I was little, I was talking to my friend Will about periods. I told him what they were, and when I was done, he ran crying to his mom screaming and terrified that he was going to bleed through his penis. Later we had to correct him and he was very embarassed.

When I was at Summer Camp one year, a few years ago, our counselors were talking and they were talkign about that song "I Like Big Butts", which has the word "sprung" in it. I thought that the line "I get sprung" means that the person got happy. So for the rest of camp, until my counselors heard and corrected me, I would go around saying things like, "I'm really sprung right now."
