I used to believe…

When I was about 7 or 8 years old, my next-door neighbor (about 13 at the time) tried to explain sex to me. Unfortunately, he gave me a very poorly worded description of a hymen by saying, "when a girl first has sex, a bone in her vagina breaks, and it hurts really bad." Of course, my inexperienced mind immediately assumed there was a cage of bones, like a ribcage, inside every woman's vagina. I had trouble understanding this anyway, so when I learned the truth several years later, it was a relief :) .

When I was little, my mother had kidney cancer so she had one of her kidneys taken out and had a long scar on the side of her stomach. For a long time I thought that the scar was from when I was born and that all babies were cut out of a woman's stomach. I asked her why she didn't have four scars (I have 3 siblings) on her stomach. She finally told me where babies really come from. I was horrified.

I used to believe that babies were made at the early learning centre (a childrens toy shop) as everytime i walked past with my mum, she would say 'You cant go in there, its for babies!'

I used to believe that to have sex and to get pregnant a guy had to pee in the vagina. I didnt know that guys had other fluids...

When I was around 6-7, I would often watch the grinch, and it showed how Babies came from umbrellas in the sky, so that was always how I used to think people had babies... I found out how people actually had babies when I was around 8. (I'm 13 now ^^)

I used to believe that sex meant a couple was kissing. I didn't know what it actually involved until I was 11, stumbling upon an adult film playing on late night cable.

I blame the catholic schools.

After a woman got married, I thought that they immediately got pregnant after the marriage...

i used to think a "blowjob" was something only prostitutes or pornstars do,so when at age 16 my then girlfriend asked would i like one i said i didnt know you were a pornstar!!!

I used to believe you could get pregnant by french kissing someone.

I used to believe that after a couple got married, they prayed to God for a baby and then one appeared in the woman's belly. Then when it was time for the baby to be born, it just magically appeared in front of them.

I thought that girls would poop and they could choose any poop to become a baby, and they would do something to it and it would become a baby. I didn't know about sex yet.

When I was very young, I used to believe that when babies were born, they came along with all of their initial baby clothes. I always pictured myself being born in a cute yellow dress, with a bunch of hangers of outfits in each hand!

I used to believe that there are 2 steps to have a child. First a couple need to be married. Then they need to kiss each other at a period of time. When the amount of kissing is enough, the baby will bursted in the air and fall into your hands. (Guess I played The Sims too much :D)
