When I was younger in primary school, we walked into the classroom and saw a tampon, only it had been pulled out. A friend screamed "IT'S A MOUSE! GET IT OUT!!" Our teacher stormed into the classroom and demanded to know what the fuss was about. We were all on our chairs by then exept a few boys who were stroking this `mouse`. Until year 6 I believed that tampons were mice.

When I was about 10 or 11 I thought that if u rubbed ur belly-button 3 times and wished for a baby it would come out of the end of your finger. So I never EVER touched or talked about my belly button for a long time...that was..until i found out the truth. lol. I was a very weird child.
I was watching 50 first dates at my friends house and at one part a guy jumped into the water and said something like Oh I lost my nuts! Or something to that effect. Anyways right after that my she (who is 15) said can they really come off like that?? None of us could stop laughing.
I didn't think parents were allowed to have sex after they had kids. I never knew they did until I was around 12 and went looking through their drawers and found a box of condoms. Then for almost a month I wouldn't touch my parents because I decided they were gross for having sex and they broke the rules.

I used to believe you could get pregnant from kissing boys. So for a long, long time, I wouldn't kiss boys.
I was three at the time my sister was born and therefore years later my mother's pregnancy became quite fuzzy to me. In the third grade my teacher started talking about how sometimes doctors have to cut open a mommy's stomach to get the baby out. This combined with distant memories of my mother being in a room with jelly on her stomach (like when you get an ultrasound), I believed that they cut my baby sister out of my mother's stomach and rubbed magic jelly on her so it would heal without stitches...

I used to believe that if I pulled my foreskin back far enough the end of my penis would fall off.
Strange I know
I was sitting on my living room floor with my Barbie and Ken dolls as my mother was watching the Young and the Restless. Immersed into my own little world, and making strange little noises I caught my mother attention. When my mom asked what Barbie was doing with Ken, I proudly stated that "Barbie and Ken are sexin'!" and when asked what that was I excitedly told her that "Its when you get all naked under the covers, and you make out all nike long!"... I felt sooo smart.

When I was prepubescent, I found a sanitary napkin (not soiled) face up in our bathroom wastepaperbasket. I have four older sisters. One of them told me it was an insert you put in your shoe to make it padded and therefore, more comfortable.
i used to believe a girl will pregnant if kissing a boy on the face
I used to that a girl could get pregnant by having a guy put his thing right next to her vagina. It wasnt until I started to use tampons (3 months after my first period) when I looked at the picture of how to use one that it clicked.

No kidding: My sophomore year in high school, I was having lunch with my friends and someone mentioned a herpes commercial. We were all laughing and talking about how much it must hurt to pee if you have herpes (open sores...blah blah blah) when my friend Mark said, "Yeah and have sex and poop too." We all turned to eachother with confused looks on our faces as he explained to us that girls peed out of their butt and there is really only ONE hole down there! He was sixteen!

when i was little i thought a period would consist of a very small droplet of blood.. looking like a punctuation mark. i wanted to be more 'grown up' so i would take a red marker and make a dot on my panties .. assuming that my mother would see it and realize i had started getting my period. she never said a word, and i'm sure she probably never even noticed it was there.
if only i'd been right

When I was little, I had a friend who told me one day that she NEVER wanted to have a baby.. because she didn't want to have the operation to get pregnant. I was perplexed as I had never heard this theory before, and I told her she was wrong. She proceeded to explain how a doctor needed to remove a chunk of the husbands flesh from his body, and then surgically insert it into the womans body. I wanted to believe she was wrong, but at the same time, I had no better theory, so I went along with it too.

I used to think that my penis got big because i did something bad, and that everyone could see it and they stared at me.
i remember when i was about 4, i was taking a bath with my 2 yr. old sister, and my sister grabbed my "weinie". i said to her, don't touch mine, you'll grow one later. My mom corrected me, but i still didn't get it.

I used to think that women's periods only lasted during teenage years, and once we girls became women, the periods stopped and we would never have to wear pads or tampons again.

couple of things to share that fit well under this category:
1) when i was younger, my mom would refer to female genitalia as the "booty". years later in sex ed, i learned the proper name for it.
2) a few years back when i was a preteen, i thought that my pubic mound was a penis. i was (and still am) a big gal, so my mound was(is) pretty big. i later found out that this was my pubic mound, and that i am all female :)
