I used to believe a woman got pregnant because of the dance they did at their weddings. And to stop having babies, they took birth control, but if they wanted another, all the woman had to do was quit taking birth control and she would become pregnant.

I used to believe that when adults kissed when they were naked then babies were born. I also though the only way to deliver a baby was having your stomach cut open.

When I was young, my cousin told me that you can't have sex until you're married. I knew how sex physically occurred, so I tried to add those thoughts together. I thought for a while that there was a special slit in the groom's suit or something, so it could happen during the wedding kiss. Then I got really confused when I realized that it could happen during ANY kiss, not just the wedding one.
I found "Where Do Babies Come From" on our bookshelf when I was little, so naturally I read it because I was a huge bookworm. It said something about people usually having sex somewhere comfortable like a bed, so I thought that meant they had to be asleep to have sex. I believed this until I was 10 and my cousin turned on Cinemax when he was spending the night. I said "Aren't they supposed to be sleeping?" and he just laughed at me.

When I was little I thought babies came out of your belly button. Also, to get pregnent you had to be getting married and when they say "you may now kiss the bride" the sperm would swim from the man's mouth into the woman's.

When I was about 9, I was over at a friends house. In her parents bathroom, we found a used condom in the trash can. We asked her mom what it was and she said it was part of the dads tutu. I had this mental image of my friends dad dressed in a pink frilly skirt dancing around the place. I thought condoms were only for cross-dressing dancers until I was in High School.

When I was little I believed that to get a baby out of the womb you had to cut a square in the woman's belly and lift it up like a jar lid and then take the baby out.

I used to believe that if I kissed my stuffed animals that I would get pregnant. I once cried thinking I had gotten pregnant from a stuffed teddy bear.

When I was learning about sex for the first time I thought people only had sex to have a baby. When my dad told me otherwise I didn't believe him at first!

I used to believe that babies came out of belly buttons until I was told differently in my 9th grade health class.

When I was in 5th grade I thought that women used condoms when they had their period and guys used tampons to have sex, I had it all the way arrownd!

I used to think "orgasm" was a misspelling of "organism." The best part is that I remember asking my parents about this, and they just smiled and nodded.
I used to think when babies were born they climbed out of the mother's stomach in some way (possibly out of the navel) because my mother had told us about the Caesarean section and that we came out that way.
This theory, however, was crushed by my best friend when we were going to start school. She also told me how babies were made. x.x' I remember being disgusted.

when i was about 9 i used to think that when a woman was due to have a baby all she'd have to do was push her bellybutton back in (sometimes it pops out) this was of course until i asked my mum who carefully explained everything to me.

When I was little I was REALLY into unicorns. In mythology it's known that only a virgin can touch a unicorn. I asked my mom what virgin meant and she just explained it as being someone who has never slept with a man. I, of course, took this to mean literally.
For years I thought I wasn't a virgin because when I was even younger I'd crawl into bed with my mom and dad.
I remember in sex ed, in around the 4th grade, being told you got your period once a month. I took this to mean it was like a sneeze or something as it you had it...and bam you were done and went on about your business.
I'm sure you ladies can imagine my disappointment years later when I got it and discovered that "once a month" meant you got it and KEPT it for several days.
I used to believe that pregnant women had beach balls under their shirts, and that when the baby was born, they had a special needle that they'd use to pop the mom's belly so the baby could come out, and when they were born the doctor could decide if they were going to be a boy or girl. I wanted 24 kids... one for each hour of the day. :) Now I know better.

When I was younger, even though I just thought it was just kissing naked as portrayed in the movies, I was angered by the fact that my parents had sex--I was very disappointed in them and would cry every night knowing that they probably did it sometimes. Twice I begged them never to do it again and I tried to make them promise, but they wouldn't; they tried to explain to me that it was important for moms and dads to do that so they won't get divorced.

Up until I was thirteen, when my mom gave me "The Talk" with the medical book, I thought a mom got pregnant by a dad feeding her his sperm with a spoon and then a baby would grow in the mom's stomach.
