I used to believe…

There was a period of time in kindergarten in which both boys and girls from my class were staring at their wrists. We highly wanted to find out how much babies everyone of us would have in future.
It’s about a pad on your palm (the pad which has no fingers). You push it with a finger and let it linger there a little until some small bubble turns up underneath the skin of your wrist. The number of the bubbles is supposed to show the number of your kids in general.
Ok, but it is different about my right and left hand. Should I sum the two numbers? My left wrist sais 1 , but my right one doesn’t seem to have a determined point of view – it is something like 2… 1+2…hm…that’s intriguing…

My mom used to wrap presents to mail to out-of-state relatives really well in a lot of tissue paper. One day, when I was 8 or 9, I found her sanitary napkins in a bathroom cabinet. Thinking that something "really cool" was carefully wrapped inside, I tore several to pieces, looking for a treat, only to be disappointed.

I use to think that rubbing your balls was masterbating. I use to wonder why my friends said they enjoyed it so much. Once I rubbed them for an hour strait and nothing happened so I told my friend what I did and that masterbating didn't work and he hit me upside the head and told me how to really do it.This was in 8th grade.

I used to think that the doctor could chose the babies gender by cutting the umbillical cord long(a boy) or cut it all of(a girl). Now I know that thats not how it happened, and that the cord connects your stomach!

When my dad told me he had divorced my mother because he was gay, I thought that just meant he was happy all the time, and because my mom was Catholic, she couldn't tolerate excessive happiness because it was sinful, so he just had to go. What really confused me was how my sister discovered this "truth" by reading my father's magazines.

One day as my daughter, 3 years old, and I were shopping, we ended up on the "feminine hygiene" isle. As we passed the sanitary napkins, my daughter blurted, "Look at those BIG band-aids, mom!" It was so cute I had to laugh!!

For some reason my Mum used to call my penis my "Jiminy Cricket" I thought it was its correct name. You can imagine how amused I was when I was taken to see Pinnochio at the cinema - I giggled all through the film.

About 2 years ago i got my first boyfriend, Joel, and with the first b/f comes the first sex. now, supposedly this guy had had a lot of sex before, and "popped many cherries," but he kinda proved differently to me. when we were done, he looked down and saw blood on the blanket and started freaking out. I kept asking him what the matter was and saying that everything was normal. but he kept saying "I'm bleeding!!! Help, I'm Bleeding!!!" afterwards i had to explain to him that it wasn't him that was bleeding and that when a girl has sex for the first time, she bleeds. he was such an idiot!

I used to believe that condoms were thin sheets of rubber that once put on the penis would stretch out to cover the entire shaft. Well i missed the condom section in our sex ed class and had to find out the real way, when one was put on me, what a shock huh!

I used to think that girls were actually luckier than boys. Even though girls got periods, it was once a month, and pretty predictable. Boys, on the other hand, never knew when white stuff would come out of them.

I used to believe that a seed came out every time I passed urine and that when the time came I would have to save it, plant it and it would grow into a baby - that would certainly save the pain of childbirth wouldn't it!

I used to think that "having a boner" meant you needed to fart. One day I was feeling a bit gassy snd proclaimed, "Man, I have a huge boner!" in front of my brothers.

When i was little, i sneaked into our hall in the middle of the night. i heard some really weird sounds coming from my parents room. i got closer and looked under the door, but all i could see was a bright red light. for years i was convinced that my parents were really the devil and they turned into their true form at night. turns out they just had a red lamp for 'special' nights.

when i was younger i was being babysat by my uncle and his girlfriend, i went into my parents room and found a used condom in their night table, so i picked it up and went to ask what it was, well they tried beating around the bush until my parents got home, later that night my mom had to make up something because my curious mind was not about to drop the subject, she told me it was for daddy when he went on overnight fishing trips and they wore them to pee in .. i was upset later to find out what it really was in life

When I was 9 I had been to a service station and my friend bought something out of the machines in the toilets. He then proceeded to spend four quid on these things, opening them and trying to fathom what they were. When we got back on the bus, he managed to unroll them and when we got to france, he tryed to blow one up to put at the end of his bed. He blew up the other one and hung it at the end of my bed. I just thought that they were balloons And I thought I would jopin in the fun and we had blowing up competitions. They both burst in the end but it wasn't until three years later I found out we did Swex education we learned what they were used for. My fried was sick.
