I used to believe…
My younger brother used to think that condoms were something like trading cards you show to your friends (courtesy of a TV show where the boy asked his dad for one and implied that it was so he could show it off). This led him to take one from my older brother's house and show it off to his friends in front of my dad. My dad took it away and then about a week or two later my younger brother saw a commercial on MTV about Fight for your Rights where the guy is trying to get a condom from the vending thingie and it won't give him one even after he's kicked it and stuff then there's a message like "No condom, no sex" or something and thats about when little brother caught on.

My three brothers and I were raised Catholic in the 1950s and 60s, so any discussion remotely connected with "where did we come from" was met by my mother with panic. My youngest brother, aged five, the favourite and therefore hated by the rest of us, persisted; and getting nowhere he came to me, as I was the oldest, or perhaps just the loudest. I told him that Gypsies had left him with us, and further, told us that if he ever lied, we were to take him down to the lake and tie him to the tree there, and they would come and take him back. He panicked even more than Mother did, and didn't lie for years afterward.

When I was little, I thought a virgin was a little magician...like Micky Mouse was in Fantasia, until I was watching a TV show and it mention it, and I asked my mother what it was and she told me truthfully.
i used to think that oral sex was just two people talking about having sex, and describing it and stuff like that. it wasn't until i stole my mom's cosmo magazine that i learned what it really was.

Until I was 6, I thought that sex happened when a man kissed a woman between her legs. All I knew of men's bodies were my Ken dolls, so I figured the only sexual thing about men was their lips for kissing. I used to make my Barbies "have sex" all the time. One day my sister found me doing this, and told me that sex was when a man sticks his "ding dong" in your "hoo hoo" and showed me a book with the male genitalia. That was when I became a lesbian.
I used to believe that wen guys "came" it was like a cup full and they would have to go to the bathroom and do it over the loo or they would look like they pee'd themselves...I didn't find out i was wrong until i was with my fist boyfriend...I can't say i wasn't disapointed when i didn't get a whole "cupful" out of him! (i thought i had not done it right!)
*shudder*

Steve, you don't have to feel bad about your misconception of where the semen seeped out. I used to think it seeped through the scrotum! Furthermore, I thought that because of that, a condom was worn around the scrotum!

when my little brother was younger he tried to tell me how girls got their periods. He told me that a girl gets her period when a guys "gets horny at her" and she knows. lol...then he tried to tell me that he knows that from expeince. you can imagine how confused i was when he told me that last part

ever since my brother was small, my dad graciously dubbed his uh-oh spot, his bobo. he grew up with that word and my sister and i were so used to hearing it, we got used to that name too. well, we lived in panama for a while and in spanish, bobo means silly. my dad, my brother, and i were in the elevator one day and this lady got in after my brother had accidentally pushed the wrong button. when we told her she said to him, "you bobo!" the look on my brother's face was priceless. he couldn't believe that she called him that! my dad and i almost died from holding in our laughter and the lady was laughing too because she thought she made a funny joke!

Around the age of 5 I started wondering how babies where made. I never asked my mom, but me and my friends came up with a theory that a man and a woman get naked and hug and kiss and rub up agenst eachother, causing friction, and the heat from the friction would cause a womans stomach to get big, and a baby would pop out.

Yeah, when i was about 7 and in boyscouts, i was in the parking lot of the church where we had our meetings. I found this long balloon like object on the ground, thinking it was a deflated clown balloon. I picked it up and put it to my mouth, to my fathers horror. He never explained why exactly it was wrong. I just assumed it was because someone had already put their mouth on it.
(Now that i look back on it, i realize how horrible it is that someone was THAT anxious to get it on that they did it in the parking lot of a church...AND that they would throw out their used condom on the blacktop for your unsuspecting boy to put their mouths on it thinking it was a balloon.. what has america come to? [hehe, i made a funny])
I used to believe that to "have sex" was when a guy and a girl slept in a bed together naked. And they had to see eachothers privates. And thats all. Boy was I shocked in 4th grade "Human Growth and Development" class!

My kid sister (when she was 4) used to believe that sanitary towels were nappies... and well... she saw the towels one day in a cupboard in the bathroom and well... wore the towels for about a month before my mother found out... and told her they were for big girls and mommies... I still mock her for it to this day.
