I was told that once you got your period you could have a baby. I was always a tomboy and had more guy friends than girls, and the first time i got my period i had two of my guy friends at my house. I told them to leave thinking they could get me pregnant. I think i thought when you had your period you automatically got pregnant that you didnt have to have sex or something. I dont know.

I know this is very wrong but I did use to believe that black children were born from their mothers bums.
I also used to believe that all babies were born into the toilet too..

My friend first explained sex to me when we were about 8 or so. She explained that men were made up completely of sperm cells, and women of eggs. When they lied flat against each other, the woman could get pregnant from it.

Not only that, she had me worried I was pregnant from horseplaying with the boy down the street.

Once when I was little I was watching 90210 and in it the parents were having a meeting where they were debating wheather to give condoms to highschoolers. I thought that condom was short for condominium and that the rich beverly hills parents were giving houses to their children.

When I was little I thought that sex was when a man and a woman got naked, the man sucked on a woman's breasts and the woman put her hand on the man's penis. I even told this to one of my friends who was trying to get me to call a sex number that was engraved on a phonebooth at a park near my house and after I told her this, she ran screaming to my mom that I knew what sex was (I was about 5).

When I was really little I used to think that a man and a woman could make a baby by tounge kissing. Somehow I thought that when they were tounge kissing an angel sprinkled "baby powder" on the boy's tounge and when they kissed, the girl swallowed it and the baby grew inside her stomach.And I have no idea why i thought that because my family isn't even that religious. Oh, and before that, I thought that the baby grew on the outside of a woman, and that when the baby was full grown and ready to be born, she just took it off.

Before I started my period I was terrified to use a tampon because I was afraid the string would snap and it'd be lodged in my vagina forever. (I still kinda am)

My cousin used to think that a girl would become pregnant if a guy and girl just slept in the same bed. When we had to sleep in the same bed once because it was in a small camper he refused and slept on the floor.

I used to believe that "vagina" (or "magina" as I heard it) was a fancy word for crotch. And my friend said this about having sex: "You put your magina into the other person's magina..."

When I was really, really little I used to think that when a woman got pregnant she waited until the baby was ready and then pressed her bellybutton and the baby would pop out!

I used to believe that 'virgo'which is my starsign, and 'virgin'was the same thing. That's why I declared to everyone in my Grans kitchen one day when I was 6: "I'm a virgin!"

And one of the charecters were laying atop of the other..
I thought that it was how babies got made..by a man and a lady lying atop one another.

When I was about 6 I asked my mom if babies came out of your belly-button. She told me that they came out of a place lower than that, so for the next month or so, I spent my time trying to find a place between my belly-button and my underwear where a baby would come out!

i was talking to a guy friend of mine (very close) and he thought that when you had your period that the blood would spurt out like when men ejaculate...you can not imagine how embarrassed he was....

when i was 5 my cousin told me that u get babies when u eat one up. i thought that was just horrible.

when i was older my mom told me that God sends babies to her stomach. now i was really confused.

so at dinner, i used to put my hands over my mom's mouth when she started to say grace coz i just couldn't live with the fact that my mom really wanted to eat a baby that God had sent.
