I thought that maybe babies came from a comet in space like Superman until I realised they came from their mother's tummies. I then wondered how on Earth that would happen and proposed the following theory... First idea was that a baby was a natural growth formation placed by God when a couple were truly in love and wanted one. Then I had the idea that maybe when a mother sleeps, God sends angels or fairies to Earth to magic the woman to sleep..they would then cut open their cranium, take out the brain and any other obstruction, dump the foetus in the tummy, put everything back and magic away the blood. I drove myself into such a puzzle at five that I asked for the truth.:) When I knew about sex, I had this belief that a man just gets his penis in his fingers, walks up to the lady and puts it in. The sperm just swam out like water from a pipette and was effortless. I think I learned the truth a few years later when I asked more questions. :)

i used to believe that when a girl and a boy kisses on the lips really long, as in really long (just like in the movies) the girl gets pregnant. i just thought that all the boy's saliva that the girl has to take in from kissing will make her pregnant.

My mother used to call breasts "boobles". That's boo-bulls. She also told us vaginas were called "tinoes". To this day she'll say tino.

The first time I used a tampon I didn't know you had to remove the cardboard after you slide the tampon in. Ouch!!! It really hurt and I decided there was no way I was gonna use these things. Finally someone told me how to use them properly.

When I was young, I knew that men had penises and women had vaginas and that the semen went into the vagina to make the baby. I wasn't really sure how the semen found its way into the vagina because to my knowledge, which happened to be based on some soft-core porn that I had stumbled across, the man rubbed his penis against the woman's stomach area during sex.

before i reached the age of 10 i used to believe erection is caused by being cold. this belief was well-founded on the fact, that i used to have erection while standing naked in front of big mirror in the bathroom after taking bath. i can't say i was somehow dissapointed when the truth turned out :)

I used to beleive a condom was to prevent you from peeing inside the woman, which would cause her to inflate.

My friends and I used to believe that when a man was kept from giving his partner sperm during sex, he got his balls removed.
So I told my friends that my dad had been "neutered" and they asked if he had his balls removed and I'm all like "I dunno, I guess" and then when I got home I asked my mom "Mom, did Dad have his balls taken out?" and she said "No."

When I was told that babies were made by the man going inside the woman and planting his seed I was confused - surely you couldn't get a whole person inside you???
so i thought the man took a magic potion that made him shrink, he somehow got inside (i think the bellybutton was involved), planted his seed then grew back to normal size once he was out!

When my mum had 'the talk' with me she explained everything well. But when my Dad came to have 'the talk' with my younger brother a few years later, he decided to take it a step further, explaining that when a man has sex it's like a volcano erupting. My poor brother! I'm not sure if it's put him off sex for life or not!

When I was about 8 my older sister told me that they had caught a boy in their class "playing with himself" (I had NO clue what this meant and assumed the kid and no friends). The she tells me that from then on they called him "Masterbater". Still clueless,I heard this as Master Bater and assumed he was a rich kid with no friends. For years had this image of a Master Bater who was very dapper, well-dressed with a top hat, cane, and shiny black shoes, and could't understand why anyone wouldn't want to play with him too!

I used to believe that "the pill" was something women took to get pregnant, not prevent it. I remember telling my babysitter that I never wanted to have a "pill" baby, that it wasn't natural! Silly child!

I thought that each breast produced a different kind of milk - the right one chocolate milk and the left one, white milk! Of course I believed this because my older brother told me and our neighbor's(a doctor) son confirmed it!
Gosh I wanted to smack my brother when I found out it wasn't true.

Until I was in about the 5th grade, I believed that boys used jock straps to hold on sanitary pads! Why wouldn't I believe it, my older brother told me about it!

As a child I was convinced that God put babies in the mommy's tummy.
I wanted to be a mommy so bad.
I remember picking iris in a field near home and praying that God would give me a baby in my tummy. While I picked those flowers and prayed it was always in the back of my mind that "I hope God doesn't know that I'm not married?"

My 4 year old daughter thinks that I stick tampons in my butt. I haven't told her anything different

I don't remember where I thought babies came from, but I have distinct memories of when I was about 5 and some kids in nursery school were playing with dolls, pretending the doll was havin a baby and they were doctors. They apparently thought all babies were born by caesarian section - one of the boys pretended to sew the doll up and another kid said "James, you forgot to take the baby out!"

I was standing in the lunch line in fourth grade. my best friend, at the time, told me the story of "sex"! From that day on i understood that a boy puts his "thing"(her terms) inside of you, the the boy pees inside the girl! then, BOOM!, your pregnant with a baby! When we had sex ed in the 5th grade, I was blown away by the fact of sperm! Needless to say, I was still stupid enough to raise my hand and ask about the whole "peeing" thing!!!!
