I used to believe…
Not mine, but the little brother of a friend.
We were playing with our dolls at the time, and one of the kids had somehow got a hold of a box of tampons and filled the back of a toy car with them.
Upon discovery, my friend's youger sister asks "What are those for?". Her brother answers enthusiastically, "You're meant to eat them!".
We spent an awkward few minutes convincing him not to do it.

I used to believe that babies came out of your belly button. What else could they possibly be for?

Up until I was 13, I believed a Blow Job was when a boy blew all over a girl's naked body. I felt like an idiot when I realized that was not the case. (:

When I was about 8, my aunt became pregnant. My mom told me at this time, that babies came out of a womans vagina. (Kind of young I think, but, I digress). After seeing my Aunts baby for the first time, I thought about how big it was. I told my mom that I didnt think a baby would fit out of mine when I got older. She assured me that it would. However, she didnt know that I was unaware of the actual "hole" if you will, I thought that all that went to my vagina was my clitoris, and until I was about 12, I thought that when I got older, my baby would come out of it.

When I was young I used to hear about teen pregnancy where the girl would say "I never thought it would happen to me." I didn't know you needed both a boy and a girl to get pregnant at the time so I was always worried I would just "become" pregnant when I became a teen, like those other girls did. Because I didn't think it could happen to me, so therefore it probably would.

When I was around 7, my older sister and I were at the super market, I remember her telling me that if I were to eat purple lettuce, i'd get pregnant.. don't know how I just remember that.

When I was little my dad told me that if I had sex, sperm would come out. Sperm was part of your life, and if you spermed to a certain amount you would have lots of wrinkles and suffer.

When I was little I believed that periods were contagious and the next person that went in the toilet would get it
I used to believe that you were made of poop because your mom would poop you out in the toilet. It made sense because I didn't know where my poop came from either
I used to believe that if you kissed someone on the lips, you'd lose your virginity.
I used to believe babies could either be girls, boys, or alligators.
I used to believe that if a woman put a ring on her left 4th finger, she would get pregnant (you know, get married- instant baby factory!). So when we played house or dress up as kids, I was careful to NEVER put a ring on this finger... so glad it doesn't work that way!

When I was three and my mom was pregnant with my sister, she hadn't told me yet, but was getting a lot bigger. I decided she must have swallowed a watermelon seed and was growing a watermelon in her stomach.

Once i asked my mom how the cat got its kittens. She told me it married a male cat. So i was confused how come cats had babies if they didn't have weddings because i thought that human babies were born only because of weddings :)

When I first found out about astrological signs and that I was a Virgo (the Virgin), I assumed that everyone born in September could never have sex. I remember worrying that I would never have kids.

When I was in 9th grade, some friends and I were talking about a girl at our school who had gotten pregnant. One of my friends (a very naive 15-year-old boy) said, "I can't believe she wanted a baby so young!" Another friend answered that she doubted the girl actually WANTED to get pregnant, and that it was most likely an accident. My friend (the boy) said, "How do you accidentally get pregnant? Why didn't she just not have sex for a few weeks after she found out she was pregnant?" We were all completely puzzled. Then we made him explain what he meant:
My friend was under the impression that the reason it took 9 months to have a baby was that you had to have sex EVERY DAY for 9 months to make the baby. Like each time would add a piece. And if you just stopped doing it, the pregnancy would "go away".
The rest of us could not stop laughing. We collectively explained the truth to him, though he did continue to be mystified by the female reproductive system for at least a few years after that.

A girl I knew in elementary school convinced me that if you were fat enough, you could have a baby through your arm. I never quite understood how it would work, but I believed her.
