When I was four, as all pregnant women wore the same 5 dresses (with the lacey sailor collars- YUK) I thought that it was the fashion to wear these with a football under them.

My son (who will be 4 in July)told my husband and I this morning that babies come from baby bushes and that you just reach into the bush and pull one out. :)
I used to believe that Mummies had to eat everything that was going to make the babies that they were going to have. Hence my disgust when I saw my mother eating somthing that looked like bones when she was expecting my younger brother. It took me ages to figure out it was actually bran sticks!
I used to believe that I had traveled to China and bragged to a cousin that my "booty's been to China". My mother overheard me and realized that I had misunderstood her when she had informed me of the proper name for my genitalia (vagina).
I had always known about sex; I was never told that old one about the stork. However, I didn't learn the specifics until I was twelve. I came up with a truly brilliant theory, though. Men and women had magnetic force-fields around them, men were north magnets and women were south magnets. Babies were conceives when men and women got so close together that the magnetic fields touched, and had to spen a whole night like that. As you can tell, I spent much thought on the subject, and was convinced that if I held two ordinary metal magnets together for a whole night, more metal would appear in nine months.
I used to believe that snogging was having sex, and that fingering was wen you put your finger in someones ear and tickle them, Do you now how many years ive had of bullying after sayin that i wasnt a virgin, i thought it ment a girl!!!
when i was 10 i knew that boys were excited when their penis got erect but when i asked my mom, "how do you know when i girl is excited" she told me that "we pee on ourselves" after that i swore i'd never get excited
when i was about 9 i would watch my cat would do "it" with my stuffed animals, he always gave my stuffed animals back really wet . . . i thought he was peeing on my toys so thought people do the same thing so i waited until i was engaged at 18 to have sex for the 1st time, it was then when i realized what the "pee" really was
when I was about three, my mom went into hospital to give birth to my new baby sister. she had a cesarian birth and due to the scar i believed that the new baby had bit her belly when she'd come out!!! I went round telling everyone i hated the new baby cuz of this, poor thing didnt even have teeth!

When I was a child my sister told me that a period was a chocalate bar so I used to lokk for one whenever i went into a shop!
My friend's little brother was always interested in girls and wanted to know about sex, but knew he couldn't say it but could spell it out like adults did "bad words" so we told him sex was spelled p-e-r. We asked him what he knew about p-e-r and he told us that first you met a girl and sat down for drinks, then you went upstair and rubbed wee-wees and had a cigarette. (way to much TV) Imagine our suprise when he came home from first grade one day and told us he'd had p-e-r....
I am the only girl in my entire extended family and the youngest to boot. My brother saw my grandmother changing my diaper one day and was freaked out by the fact that I lacked a penis--it was the first he'd seen of me being at all different, so he snached me up off the changing table and ran with me to my mother to stop her from cutting off anything else. He was acute one--when he was told my mother was having a baby he asked if she would have me under the kitchen table like our dog Pepper. Fortunately for me the answer was no.
I used to believe that your loins were the muscles in your legs. i only found out the truth yesterday when my boyfriend told me what they really were - i am 24 and i'm still not sure that he's right!!!
I was absolutly convinced as a pubescent teenager that I ahd been born a boy but that Mum had so wanted a girl that she had made someone cut off my male equipment. I felt that someone had done a very poor job and had left me disfigured (in fact I still have a somewhat poor body image!)
It wasn't until I was quite a lot older that I realised that labia are a totally normal part of a female and vary in size from one woman to another and have nothing to do with the clumsey removal of amle genitalia. Oops!

when I was younger I used to believe that my buddy's grandma's fat saggy juggs were just watermelons that were too ripe. crazy eh !
When I was in the third grade, we were outside playing at recess when several of the boys were asking the girls if they were virgins, Of course I didn't know what that was and thought It must be something bad because of the way they were snickering so of course I was sure to tell them I was not. Of course they had a field day with that and I was mortified when one of the other girls told me what a virgin was, needless to say I then tried to tell them I was but you know boys...It was sometime before they'd leave me alone about it.....
I used to think that a prostitute was a woman who had sex with other women. This belief persisted until I was well into junior high (14 years old). Little did I know I was to realize not too much later in life that I too was a prostitute -- err, lesbian. ;)

I used to believe that if you had sex underwater you would give brith to a mermaid.
When I was faced with the prospect of talking about my "bits" when I was little, I'd always call them "Jenny Tails", Jenny being my name. It took me until I was probably about 8 and said something about "Janet Tails" (my sister) that I was informed that I'd misheard my mother when she taught me about my *genitals*.
When we were little, my mother had bought us a book titled, "How You Were Born". In this book, there was an illustration of a sperm under a magnifying glass. For years, I thought the magnifying glass was a frying pan and was totally mystified by where and how the frying pan fit into the reproductive process.
