When I was young I thought that when men and women had sex, it was somehow impossible for either not to have an orgasm, and that it was impossible for them not to have it at the same moment. I think I picked that idea up from watching too much tv and I now know better.

i used to believe that when a women turned 60, her vagina would grow skin over it so that she couldn't use it anymore. i didnt quite figure out how she went to the toilet though...

Until I was 10 I believed that all babies were born by Caeserean section. My neighbor's mom told me otherwise and I was mortified! I ran home to tell my mother this disgusting story, which she, to my horror, confirmed - I had actually come out of her vagina, ewwwww!

When my boyfriend was little, he used to believe that tampons were created for women to aim their pee when they stood up and went to the bathroom.

My cousins also believed that maxi pads were shoe inserts and used to shoot my tampons like rockets across my bedroom.

When i was small, I thought that peeing for a boy was practice for having sex, and pooping for a woman was practice for giving birth.

when i was young, about 4-5, my friend that was a boy told me that having sex was taking off all your clothes and laying in bed kissing a boy. him and i would actually do that, not knowing any better. well one day, i was playing barbies by myself and making my barbies "have sex" (with them both naked and on top of eachother) and my mom came in and asked what i was doing. i told her that they were "sexing". she asked where i heard that from and i told her that brandon showed me how to.

I don't remember if I actually believed this or not, but my grandmother used to tell me that virgins weren't supposed to use tampons.

Until I was about 18 or so, I used to think that if I masturbated too much (I'm female, by the way) that my clitoris would get bigger and bigger the more I did it.

I have a friend who's mother believed, until she was almost 50, that your urine and menstrual flow all came out of the same hole. She thought there was only one hole *down there*.

I used to believe that giving birth must be a lot like pooping - you take a deep breath, push real hard, and something comes out!

My friend used to believe until he was in college that a tampon was used like a Q-tip and would be used to swab and clean out the stuff and then you would throw it away.

I used to believe that babies were born wearing clothes - a red top and denim shorts.

My mom told me that when a man and woman want a baby they pray really hard and if God thinks they would be a good mom and dad, the woman gets pregnant. I always loved babies and thought, even at the ripe old age of 9, that I would be a great mom, so I prayed and prayed and prayed. Who knew it would take 15 more years?!

i used to believe that a woman got pregnant when she was married since her husband has enough money to get her lots of food and she will eat and have her big stomach.

I used to believe that inside my penis there was a snake, and each time i got a "hard on" the snake was trying to get out.

I thought when I was younger that you could get pregnant, especially as an unmarried teenager, if you did something "bad". The term "bad" meant not obeying your parents, or lying or anything. I was afraid of becoming a teenager. What if I slipped up one day, such as lying to my parents, the end result was me being punished by becoming pregnant?
When I figured out you actually had to physically do something to get pregnant, when I was about 12, I was so relieved!
I think this belief has lead to a deep fear of ever having kids.

When I was in 6th grade, i leaned over and whispered something in my buddy's ear. Well, the other kid, sitting across from us at the table said, "oh my gosh! you just gave him a blow job!" it took a while of explaining to convince him otherwise...

I used to believe that babies came from the mother's belly button. This when I was 17 yet. Got it from "King's Row," a book by Henry Bellaman in which the kid characters talked about where babies came from. And I believed it!
