When I was a child the only virgin I'd heard of refered to as such was the virgin Mary.
I also knew that Joseph wasn't yet her husband when she became pregnant (and nor was jehovah obviously).
Logically therefore a virgin must be an unmarried mother.
I continued to assume this until some idiot boys at school started asking all the girls if they were virgins (around ten years old I think) and it occured to me that none of us had children so it must be something else.
I was raised in a very religious household and repeatedly told over the years that I could get pregnant even during my period. I took this to mean that you could only get pregnant during your period. When I lost my virginity at 17, I told the guy we didn't need to worry about a condom, because I wasn't on my period. Thankfully, I didn't get pregnant. Thanks, abstinence only education!

While coaching a youth hockey program over the summer, an argument broke out among a group of 6 year olds on where babies came from. One child, among with a few of his friends believed that kissing is what got people pregnant. Meanwhile the other child was arguing that having a baby was random and that the woman pooped out the baby and the "type of baby it was depended on what the mother ate that day"

When I was about 13 or 14 to keep my sister and I from having sex and getting pregnant as teenagers, she told us that you could get pregnant from sitting on a toilet seat that had pee on it, and to always wipe the seat off.

When I was 7 my mom got pregnant with my second younger brother. I was curious where babies came from and some one told me it was from eating watermelon seeds. I was deathly afraid of watermelons until my mom figures it out and gave me a 7-year-old's version of the sex talk.

This belonged to a guy I went out with once - he wanted to have sex, and I told him that I couldn't because I was on my period (that mattered when I was 19) and that I was wearing a tampon. He told me that I could just slip it off now, and put it back in afterwards. Not a new one, the same one. I think he was 28. LOLOL
I used to think you could just GET pregnant - I had no idea how, I thought girls just randomly became pregnant. I was soooo worried I might get pregnant. It took me awhile to figure it out (and some sex ed classes at school...)
I used to believe that if a woman was having twins, it meant that she had sex twice while she was trying to get pregnant, three times with triplets, and so on...
i used to believe that when some one talked about sperm they were talking about hair like a perm i was shocked when we did sex ed at school. i still sometimes get mixed up now!! he he:)
I used to believe that people got pregnant just by spending a lot of time together, and then the sperm from the man would magically go into the woman's body and multiply and race towards the egg, and the winner of the sperm race determined what the gender of the egg was.

When I was around five or six and I didn't know how babies were made I used to believe that babies were part of a sort of "package deal" that included getting married. You get married and boom! you've got a baby.

When I was 8 or 9, I believed that virginity and viagra were the same thing. When I saw on TV about somone taking somone's virginity, I thought they took the'yr viagra pills! Then I wondered what viagra was for, so I asked my mom. She said it was medicine for a boys pee pee. Then I asked what a virigin was then. She said it is Jesus's mother and that virgins are holy.(Not wanting to explain the birds and bees at ages 8). I then thought when somone took somones virginity it meant they made them a satanist.
(Also, when my cousin (a boy) has a bladder infection I knew it had something to do with his pee. I told my aunt that he should take his viagra. I wondered why she was on the floor laughing..)

When I was younger my mom explained sex to me as a "special hug." I thought that meant hugging and kissing at the same time.
I used to think that you were supposed to "blow" during a blow job. Now that I think about it, I still don't understand why you suck when you're doing a blow job.

I used to believe in my little analyitical, logical, mind that because Mothers made milk Fathers made water!
I used to believe EVERYTHING, even inanimate objects were born. So one time I asked my Dad "How old is your truck?" *puzzled face* "Well how long ago was it born? And where are it's parents?"

I used to believe all babies came out as girls and later on in life some of those girls turned into boys

One day, when I was about 4 or 5, I asked my mom if giving birth was painful. She replied, "Not really." I was astounded at this because, at the time, I believed the doctor would take a knife right then and there and slice you right open and pull out the baby! How could it not hurt!?!?!
Sounds like a C-section, but not how I pictured it.

At around 6 years old, I heard the word "sex".... A few of us who rode the bus together, agreed that "sex" was lying naked with the opposite sex and eating fruit.
